The Hitman's Daughter | Chapter 18

Tyler's POV

So apparently my father killed Hailey's mother and now she hates me. I had to tell the guys though, we are like brothers. They are sure as hell shocked though, understanding why she follows the rival gang's orders. Because they told her that story and threatens to do something that might hurt her

"So what did your father say?" Chris asks, eager to hear more

I swear boys can be more talkative than girls. We can literally gossip.

"He gave me this..." I took out the box from my pocket "Told me to give it to her, maybe he's sorry. He actually acted like a decent father for once" I recall everything he said. He actually gave my mother a two-karat promise ring. I can't even afford one when it literally costs so much that it should be used as a wedding ring not a promise ring

"Well that's... weird" Henry mumbles and I nod

"Well John Kit is still out there and we better go get him" I stand up and they follow me as we all walk out of the hotel room we are staying at

We all head to Kits apartment, armed with guns. We all walk in casually as if we aren't going to kill someone in a minute. Jimmy even had time to chat casually with a girl on the elevator. As soon as we reached the third floor we all head our way to his door and standby.

Knock knock knock

The guys hid beside the door with their backs pressed against the wall while I stand right in front of the door. The door swings open and reveals a girl who is only wearing a towel and she smirks while practically undressing me with her eyes

"And who might you be?" she asks in a flirty manner and I see Chris roll his eyes

"Garry, a friend of John Kit" I lie and she smiles wider and makes room for me to come in

"Please, come in as I call him" I make my way to the couch and sit down

Soon enough I can hear them fighting, Kit saying that he does not know any Garry but the flirt of a lady insisted that he should talk to me so when he finally obliged he stood behind me. I pick up the golden horse miniature statue and wait for him to speak up

"Hello, I am John Kit" I put down the statue gently, still not facing him

"Hey, honey? Might want to go to the bathroom" I call out to the girl and I can hear her footsteps moving farther away till I hear a door close

"Nice place, Mr. Kit. How did you afford this?" I ask, although I obviously know that he spent it from the money he owed my dad

"Hard work and all" his lies disgust me

"Oh really?" I finally turn around to face him and he looks at me in utter shock

"T-t.. Tyler! What-what are you.. how did you find me?" he takes a step back making me chuckle

"I ask the questions" I step closer and he stays still "Where is the money?" I am dangerously close to him now making him gulp

Do I have to mention the he is only wearing boxers? Yes, he didn't even bother to put on a shirt

"I was going to pay it back, I swear!" I laugh at his excuse

"Too bad, you're too late" the team came barging in and pointed his gun at him, when he looks back at me I punch him on the face making him collapse and Chris shoots him

The guys beat him up and then started searching the house for money and things that we can take that has a great amount of value. I excused myself for my phone suddenly vibrated.

"Hello?" I ask over the anonymous caller

"You have ten minutes to come here at the hotel you are booked in or she dies" the call ends and I am left there in shock

I immediately run to the guys who already has an unconscious woman on the floor and a bag full of riches "Guys we need to get going, they're at the base"

We all run back to the car and drive off with high speed, already worried about what's about to happen. The hotel was empty and silent once we arrived, too silent for our liking.

"Something feels wrong, you guys" Henry mumbles and we keep our eyes on our surroundings

My phone rings once more and I am already guessing that I know who it is

"We are here now what do you guys want?" I shout and the person on the other end laughs

"We want you to just sit there... and wait"

I look at the guys and they mirror the exact same look of confusion as I have. What to they mean wait? I don't have time for that! Hailey is in danger, our lives are in danger, I can't wait!

"Do you guys hear that?" Chris asks making us all stay silent and that's when I finally heard it

Beep beep beep

We all widen our eyes and jump out of the car and that is when the whole hotel exploded right before our very eyes. My vision was blurry, my hearing wasn't clear, I was breathing too heavy. I tried catching my breath and from all the flames I see three men approaching but my eyesight still did not clear up. They stood up right in front of us and I took everything I have to stand up and straighten myself up

"What the hell do you want?" I shout, still haven't recovered from the explosion

"We made it very clear from the beginning, now you just made us mad"

"We will not give up without a fight!" I shout back and my team and I finally recovered

"Okay, suit yourself" they start running towards us so we react fast and run towards them too

Ladies and gentlemen...

This is World War III

I start punching my opponent hard but her kept swivelling and blocking every blow. He managed to punch me but I quickly recovered. The fight went on until we finally have them on the ground, we stare at their faces but they did not give off any hint of fear

"Give us the girl" I threaten them

"And why the hell would we do that?" one asks

"Because you took someone who never belonged to any of you" I kick my opponent but he blocks it

"She actually wanted to join us, especially about you dear old daddy's revelation" they mock me and I glare at them

"Our leader isn't much happy about you" the guy who we identified as Jason spoke up

"You keep on talking about your damn wimpy leader when he never even got the chance to show up. Where the hell is he, huh?" I point the gun at Jason

"Right behind you"
