The Hitman's Daughter | Chapter 22

Hailey's POV

"Guys, let's go!" I shout to my team and they all look at me in shock

"Hailey, what do you mean?" Jason stands up and approaches me

"You go with Louis and take him to Tyler's car, drive as far as you can. Mitch, Tyler, and I are going after the drug lord" I start walking away but Jason pulls my arm

"Hailey, I'm not leaving you here"

"Jason, Louis is sick. I need you to keep him safe"

"But--"

"That's an order" he finally gives in and nods, slinging Louis' arm on his shoulder and runs to the exit

"Jason!" I shout and when he turns around I throw one gun at him and he smirks

"Right, we have to go" Mitch says as we both follow Tyler and lead us around

We turn to a right and we bump into men making Mitch and I pull our guns out

"Woah there!" Chris lowers my gun and glares at me "Why the hell are you wit her? Last time I checked she tried to kill us"

"Guys! Chill, all I ask is for all of you to work together and not pull each others head off" Tyler stops all of us from creating a scene and just in cue, men in black come in again.

Not the movie, they're all just literally in black

"I can't believe I'm going to help you" Henry says and I smile at him

No one moved. It felt like the part where two tough men from the wild west has a face off and a tumbleweed passes by. Silence, all there was is silence

"Can I say something?" I whisper loud enough for everyone to hear and Tyler nods

"For Narniaaaaa!" I shout and run over to the enemies

But of course, we use our guns which surprisingly immediately took them down

"Well that was easy" I mumble, maybe too easy

"Why the hell did you shout?" Tyler asks and I shrug

"Felt like a good time" suddenly someone claps their hands and came into the scene

The man we are after

"Well that was entertaining" he stands there right in front of us, we pull out our guns but he held out a grenade and a gun on his hands

"Don't even try" he smirks as we retreat our now useless weapons

"It's a shame, I actually felt bad about what I did to your family after how my son reacted. But trying to bring us down and manipulating my son? You are way out of you league" he points the gun at me

"You will not kill another soul" Tyler moves in front of me but I stop him and push him away

"Tyler, I expected more from you. Are you really going to betray me for her?" Tyler looked puzzled for awhile and I kept hoping he would choose me. But who am I kidding, I played him.

"I choose her" he suddenly blurts out and I feel relief, tears stinging my eyes and he smiles at me

"Suit yourself" he pulls the trigger and a loud bang goes off, I closed my eyes, expecting to feel the bullet pierce my skin and blood trickling down

I open my eyes and stare at shock. "No! No!" I kneel over to see him losing breathe, blood all over his stomach "You idiot! Why did you do that?"

"I couldn't let them kill the Hitman's Daughter" he tries to smile but he kept coughing

"No, stay with me. Stay with me don't go into the light, this light is just the trap they use for mosquitoes" I joke and it made him laugh but he tried to hide how weak he was

Tyler kneels down next to me, speechless "Take care of her, bro" Mitch raises his hand and Tyler takes it and shake it gently

His eyes start fluttering close but I shout "No! Mitch I swear to God if you go now I am going to bury you under a pigs mud pile" I threaten him but he doesn't respond as his eyes slowly close

"Mitch! No, please Mitch!" he's gone

I cry on his chest, my body drenched in his blood. A friend died on the field because I wasn't a good enough leader.

"Ironic isn't it? Your father cried like this when he saw your mother, and now the hitman's daughter is following his footsteps" I stand up, angry. I take a pocket knife that Jason gave me when I first arrived at base but then another gun shot goes off

Everyone stood still once again, waiting for one to go down. Tyler had his gun pointed... to his father. He looked down at his chest where his heart is and smiles "Tyler, you son of a--" Tyler shoots him again and I watch in horror

Tyler dropped on the floor, staring at the gun in his hand. I can't believe he went so far to killing his father. He killed a family member and it must be killing him

"Tyler, that was... Thank you" I hug him and I didn't expect him to react and hug me back

"That was brave of you to do but it was the right thing to do" I pull away from the hug and smile but he only gives a small nod

"So... what now?" Henry asks and I shrug

"I want a proper funeral for my fallen comrade and now that your father is dead then I guess it's mission accomplish"

The mission was to stop all the drug deals and bring them down, by killing the leader then we basically just won. But losing a member, I felt like I lost so much. Another name added to the list of dear ones I loved so much that only exist in my mind and heart
