It has been almost a week since I moved into the new home my father decided to buy; it was actually bigger than the other one in London. The outside of the house was stone which seemed to keep the house cool through the winter though there was a fireplace in the large living room. There were five bedrooms large enough to be master bedrooms but because I was my father's daughter, he gave me the largest room. I didn't have enough stuff to fill up the room with. It was hard to think that this house was just for four people.
We had our maids and butlers yet it didn't seem like that when you rarely had a glance of them. It startled me whenever I bumped into one of them because they were always so quiet around the house. My parents hired ninjas. Kidding. The house in total had five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a pen house, a study room with a library, a large indoor pool with a Jacuzzi, and a medium sized shed in the backyard. The shed was off limits but when I questioned, the only answer I received was a point to my room and totally ignored.
The house was quiet which meant everyone was at work besides me while I was just here; banned from leaving the house because of the neighborhood we were in. I sighed deeply and tossed my stuff kitten across the room, a million thoughts running through my mind. Brad hasn't called since I left but I didn't worry since I trusted him; right? I wasn't one of those girls that felt the need to check up on my boyfriend, call or text him twenty-four seven, and forbid him from even being friends with any other girl. I gave him his space but there was something in my mind telling me that something was going on that I needed to find out soon or something would happen. Not talking to him was as though it cleared my mind from any questions he would normally ask.
In order to clear my mind from questioning where my family was, I decided that I would go for a walk around the neighborhood through the snow. Some found it crazy but I believed that jogging and walking helped clear minds. I always ran early in the morning around three before I had to wake my brother up at five though he never actually responded until around six. It was a long process but my mind usually cleared around the fifth lap around the neighborhood. I also thought it was good time to see how many houses were in the neighborhood and see if there was anyone my age around. I actually thought it'd be a good idea to leave the house before I went crazy from how quiet it all was.
I quickly jumped off the bed and skipped to my walk-in closet, wondering what I should wear. I was that abnormal girl that would wear shorts paired with a long sleeve in the middle of winter as long as one part was warm. Vice versa; pants with a short sleeve. After about five minutes of searching, I gave up and decided on a simple pair of PINK sweat pants and a Minnie Mouse sweatshirt that was three sizes bigger than my actual size. I just ran my fingers through my hair then pulled on a black beanie, fighting for three minutes before deciding that I didn't feel like putting any makeup on. I smiled at my overall look and shoved my feet into a pair of pink Keds that were still in their box; the only thing that was missing from my outfit was the fact that I couldn't find my phone.
Oh fun.
After a good ten minutes of searching my phone, I finally snuck out of the house but automatically regretted the fact of not wearing a scarf. The temperature was probably below twenty degrees which told me that the snow would begin to fall harder. A soft groan escaped my lips as I walked down the car loop even faster to leave the slight hill we were on; maybe that would raise the temperature. By the time I reached the actual side walk, my cheeks and nose were frozen from the harsh wind that blew. I had the need of wanting to blow fire from my mouth just to warm me up but I wasn't a fire-breathing dragon.
All my eyes could capture was white.
White cars.
White grass.
White streets.
White lamp posts.
Everything was decorated in white from the heavy snow that fell, even my black beanie had specks of white flakes on it.
I was halfway down the street when I noticed a black Range Rover parked at the corner of the street with at least five guys leaning against it. My first instinct was to run the other way but I didn't want to be near my house of quietness at this specific moment so I continued to walk down the street. The only reason I knew the Rover is painted black was because it looked as though they wiped away the snow whenever it fell onto the hood of the car. I couldn't see any of the boy's faces but I did notice that they were all wearing a pure white bandana around their left wrist. The bandana looked pure white but as I got closer I could see that each bandana had a different pattern of red on it.
'Strange combination.' I thought to myself as I continued to walk towards them, not meaning to but they were in my way of going for a walk. I decided that I was going to walk straight pass them and continue the walk but that was short lived as soon as I reached the boys because their attention instantly went to me. I kept my head high as I walked, not really intimidated by them and the way they were looking over my body. I was used to guys doing that. It was like a second nature for them when it came to me. Oh well.
I was almost past the group of boys when a sudden grip on my wrist caused me to stop in my tracks and turn to see a boy with black hair up in a quiff. He smirked down at me and I can see in his brown eyes that he was a dangerous one, that didn't even include his eyebrow and lip piercings. My eyes trailed all of his tattoos for a moment before I looked up into his eyes, annoyance beginning to set in since that smirk wouldn't disappear. I wanted to slap it off his lips at this moment.
"Can I help you?"
