First day of a new school was always the hardest for any person. Maybe that was just something logical or maybe it was just a thought that has been passed down from generation to generation. It seems as though no one knows how a person truly feels until they are in that person's shoes. Sometimes...when they stare or just give you a problem...it's as though it's for the good. Nothing bad can happen when you put up your guard and make sure that nothing happens to your heart or trust.

That's the way I saw it.

It was my first day at Doncaster High School and I was in NO mood to actually get dressed for a school I barely knew about. But I was forced to be a 'good' daughter. Insert eye roll here. I was still getting over the fact that I was actually going to a normal school for once in my entire seventeen years. Maybe it'll be fun. The first lie of the morning and it makes me happier now that I have thought it. I was so used to a school uniform that I knew this was going to be a totally new experience for myself due to the fact that I've never met someone NOT in a private school.

Stuck up?

I hope not.

Looking through the large walk in closet was like walking through one of those boutiques in the mall. Large but not too big. After looking around for five minutes, I just decided I wasn't going to go over the top with my outfit. A pair of dark skinny jeans and a beige colored large sweater was the outfit I chose since it wasn't too 'showy' or 'expensive'. As I was pulling on the tank top, I realized that it was still snowing outside which caused me to make a face. I love the snow and cold but not when I was going to school because I always felt so over dressed or under dressed. Pulling on the sweater, I began to brush out my hair before pulling on a beige beanie. Beanies. Those were possibly one of my favorite accessories besides a flower crown and bows.

I looked around for quite a while before pulling on a pair of Uggs, same color as my beanie and sweater. I was in no mood for my feet to freeze so I added a pair of black, silk socks that no one could see anyways. I looked in the body length mirror to see that I actually looked rich in my own way but also since no one here usually dressed like this. Says my brother. The Hershey's kiss necklace that Brad had given was hanging on the mirror corner; I grabbed it and put it on. I appreciated the necklace but I never really liked necklaces because they always tangled in my hair or broke on me.

I left the room after grabbing my school bag and the glasses that settled on the bookshelf next to the door. The glasses where only used for school and if I was busy doing anything that involved small print or a computer screen. It was quiet downstairs, all the lights were off excluding the light that was dim coming from the kitchen. Jackson. He was always up around eight in the morning doing something but I never know what it is that he did. I wanted to find out.
I walked into the kitchen quietly just to see that he was eating a bowl of cereal, just like every other time.

Jackson - 15
Me- 0

I sighed before grabbing an apple, not really hungry at the moment. Always happens when I was nervous. Jackson paid no mind to me as he ate, reading something on his black iPhone. The phone had about two cracks but other than that it was completely fine. He was wearing a loose, black t-shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans and red vans; he wasn't one for colors unless it was red, black, blue, or green. Strange boy he is. I looked over at the time to see that is was half past eight which meant that we only had thirty minutes to get to the school before registration.

Registration you might ask?

At normal high schools, they have something called 'Registration' that happens every morning before the school day started. It starts around nine and takes about twenty minutes to get all of the students registered. Since Jackson and I were new, we had to spend about five minutes more than the other students that went to the school. I guess to give us our handbooks or something. I don't know. I already had my new schedule but the registration was just so we could be marked present for the entire day. Something Jackson would like so he could just leave school whenever he wanted without being marked as skipping.

Joy.

When Jackson finally finished his bowl of cereal, we walked out of the house and got into a brand new black Lamborghini. It seems that his other car with the bullet holes would give a bad name so my father decided to get him something new and faster. I got into the passenger side as he got into the driver's side, putting my bag between my legs. Jackson and I rarely ever talked but it has been this way since we were fourteen because of a bad episode in the family.

Trust.

We were on the road in about two minutes and he drove at the fasted speed his car would go just to get there on time. I looked to see that we had five minutes before Registration began but once it hit nine, we wouldn't be allowed in until the end of Registration which meant that we would be late. I leaned back into the black leather chair, sighing in slight relief from the heat the car provided.

"I can't drive you home," Jackson started to say so I looked at him, "I have somewhere to be. Take the bus or walk. It's only thirty minutes of a walk." His voice was so cold and distant that I couldn't believe that this was my brother. I swallowed hard but nothing was said so instead I just nodded and looked away from him. The car ride was about ten minutes and when he parked, I jumped out of the car. All eyes were instantly on us both, some good and some...bad. I took a deep breath before I started to walk alongside Jackson, keeping my eyes on my phone. I felt Jackson stiffen a bit but I didn't question it since he went back to normal as soon as we got into the building.

This school was actually quite big for a school that was best known for their violence, cliques, and drug uses. The school colors were a dark blue and maroon but the school was a dusty grey color. I looked around a little more to see they were home of the knights and though it was a bad school, they were well-known for their football (soccer) team. A trophy for each year they competed in the highest competition for all high school teams in the area of Doncaster and other schools. My thoughts about how the school looked was taken away when Jackson and I walked into the Registration room where there were only about a ten people at the moment, though they stared.

I waited behind Jackson in the small line that formed for us to register and took a look at my schedule that was neatly taped to a purple binder in my bag. After Registration was English then Maths but after that was a break, which gave me time to read the book I have been reading lately. My eyes took a look at Jackson's before I handed the blue sheet of paper over to him, I kept it so he wouldn't lose it. He had Physics for first period then Geography but I already knew that he wasn't going to sit with me at break. Freedom. He looked over his schedule before taking a seat in the back of the room, I joined him as I sat by the window. The classroom filled in slowly with students, who continued to look over at us whenever they had a chance.

My eyes went to the two boys that entered the room as soon as the bell rang; mainly since the entire classroom went quiet. It was that blond haired boy from that walk I went on with some other guy next to him. This guy was a little taller and looked a little older than the blond boy; his blue eyes sparkled with excitement though his lips held a firm smirk. His brown hair was a little in his face as he brushed it aside to look around the room. The two boys took a seat in front of Jackson and I but neither of them turned to look at me, Jackson stiffened slightly but stayed quiet. I wondered if he knew them or not because of his reaction to their presence.

The Registration mentor walked into the room again, though I didn't notice she left, and sat at the same table as she did before. She began to call names and take the roll of the students that were present. Maybe about twenty or thirty students were in the classroom at the moment but my brother and I were the talk of the halls at the moment.

Being new is NEVER any fun.

(A/N: Now that she's going to the school, it's going to be a bit more interesting with more talking. She had no one to talk to so that's why she rarely talked in the last few chapters. Enjoy! Vote and comment. If you have anything to say, inbox me.)
