Being new parents is a huge thing, especially for Kris Bryant and his wife, Brooke. Brooke had just given birth to their babygirl Evelyn Rain a few hours ago, and the couple is already in love with her.
Currently, Kris is carrying Evelyn around the hospital room as Brooke is finally getting some rest. Poor girl was in labor for 12 hours and couldn't get any rest at all for obvious reasons (a/n- my mom was in labor with me for 12 hrs and complains about it every year on my birthday).
Brooke slowly starts to wake up. The first thing she sees is Kris carrying Evelyn in his arms. She smiles as she continues to stare at the sight of the two together, already knowing that Evelyn has her daddy wrapped around her finger. Brooke listens to Kris talk to Evelyn as he has yet to notice his wife had woken up.
"Evelyn," Kris starts to say. "You have made my world and mommy's world so much better, even though the outside world isn't as great as it seems. You light up mine every time I look at you. Maybe, you'll light up the world one day. I'm gonna change it for you, baby. I promise you." He kisses her forehead. He continues to walk around the room and stops in front of the bed, still not noticing Brooke's awake.
Brooke, on the other hand, takes the sight as a photo opportunity. She grabs her phone from the bedside table, takes the photo and posts it to Instagram.

Kris hears his phone go off and looks confused. He walks over to where his phone is and FINALLY sees that his wife is awake. "Oh, hey, babe," he says, shocked to see her awake. "How long have you been awake?"
Brooke giggles at his silliness. "Just a few minutes," she answers him. Then, Evelyn starts to cry and they both look at her. "I think she's hungry," Brooke says, reaching out her arms. Kris hands carefully her to Brooke. Brooke pulls down her shirt so Evelyn can latch on.
As Brooke is breast feeding Evelyn, kris is staring at his beautiful ladies as Brooke talks to Evelyn a little bit as she eats. Damn, I got so lucky he thought. Kris continued to stare and smile at them. I'm gonna protect them with everything I have he thinks.
Evelyn then finishes eating, and Brooke burps her. Evelyn lets out a loud burp, and the couple laughs at her. "Just like her daddy," kris says, proudly smirking. Brooke chuckles and shakes her head. She continues to hold Evelyn and kris gazes at them. The sight in front of him has him in awe. He couldn't help himself as he takes out his phone and takes a photo to put on Instagram.
