Baby Time-Damian Lillard

Julia was sitting on the couch in her and her fiancé, Damian Lillard's, new house. She was also currently 10 months, yes, 10 months, pregnant. Their baby boy was currently 4 weeks overdue, and the two are currently on edge. Julia was obviously more on edge than Damian was. She was moody, hungry, and always winded after walking like 2 feet. She also dealt with back pain, and her feet were swollen.

She was now poking her stomach in hopes of getting something back from the baby. "Can you come out, please?" she asks her belly as if it was gonna say something back. "I've been pregnant with you for too long, buddy."

Damian walks into the living room with her tea and laughs at her. "Jules, the baby isn't gonna say anything back to you," he says to her, handing her the cup.

Julia sighs in desperation as she takes the cup from her hands. "I just want him out already," she says.

Damian sighs. "I know," he says. "Me, too." He puts his hand on her large belly. "Hey, bud, can you at least give us something to let us know you're coming soon? Cuz as much as I love you, I hate seeing your mom in pain."

Julia looks at her belly, hoping that he'll do something. "Nothing," she says. She sighs at him. "Well, we still haven't figured out a name." 

Damian nods. "You're right. Let's figure out some names while we wait for something to happen." They then start throwing out names to kill time. 

After about an hour of figuring out names, Julia gets up to put her cup away, but Damian stops her. "I got that for you, babe," he says. 

She shakes her head. "No, it's fine," she replies. "I can still walk you know." She walks to the kitchen, and as soon as she puts the cup in the sink, she feels her stomach start to hurt. "Okay, that wasn't very nice, buddy." Her stomach starts hurting more as she feels water start trickling down her leg. She realizes what's going on and feels relieved. "Damian!" 

Damian runs into the kitchen and sees Julia holding her stomach. "What's going on?" he asks.

Julia looks at him with a relieved face. "It's time," she says.

He throws his fists up in the air and starts cheering. "YES! FINALLY!" he exclaims. He sighs in relief. "Ten months later, it's finally happening."

She smiles at his celebration also feeling relieved but feels more pain in her belly. "Okay, Dame, we gotta go. He wants out." 

He looks back at her after his celebration. "Right, my bad." They already had the hospital bag in the car, so they were already prepared. He grabs her hand and helps her to the car. Then he starts the drive to the hospital.

~5 Hours Later~

"UGHHHH!!!" Julia groans in pain as she feels another contraction. "Why won't this stupid baby come out already?!"

Damian, feeling scared to say the wrong thing, starts rubbing her hand. "Damian Jr. is coming out soon, mama," he says.

"I already told you we're not naming him Damian Jr.," she says.

"Okay." He withdraws his hand. 

She sighs and starts feeling bad. "I'm sorry, babe. It's just taking him so long to come out after carrying him for so many months." 

He smiles at her. "It's alright, babe. You don't have to apologize. I understand."

She smiles at him. "I love you," she says.

"I love you, too," he replies and goes to kiss her. 

The doctor comes in. "Hello," she says. They say it back as she puts some gloves on. "I'm just here to check and see how many centimeters dilated you are." They nod, and Damian gets off the bed to give the doctor some space. "Okay, you're still only 6 cm, we need 4 more centimeters before you can start pushing." Julia groans in annoyance. "I know, but don't worry, you're baby boy is almost here." They nod at her. "I'll be back to check on you again soon." She leaves the room to give them some space.

Julia sighs and looks at her belly. "You know, this waiting on you is getting old," she says. "I've been pregnant for ten months, the least you could do is come out faster." 

~3 Hours Later~

The doctor comes back to check on her dilation. "Okay, looks like you're ready to start pushing," she says, making her and Damian feel relieved as they get ready to bring her to the delivery room. 

Damian changes into scrubs and gets ready to help her through the process. He rubs her head. "You ready, mama?" he asks her.

Julia takes a deep breath. "As ready as I'll ever be," she says. They waited ten months for this moment, and it was finally happening. 

"Okay, Julia," the doctor says. "On a count of three, I want you to give me a big push, okay?" Julia nods. "Okay. 1, 2, 3, push." Julia gives a big push. "That was a good one, sweetie. I'm gonna count again, and give me another good one. 1, 2, 3." 

Julia pushes again. "AHHHH!!!" she screams in pain as she grips Damian's hand tightly. "Damian, I'm gonna kill you after this." She pushes again. "You did this to me."

"I see a head coming, give me some more pushes," the doctor says.

Damian starts losing feeling in his hand, but he fights through it. "Two more pushes, mama," he says. Julia cries in pain as she starts pushing again. "You're doing so good, baby."

"That was a good one, Julia. I see some shoulders, now I want you to give me one big push, okay?" Julia nods at her, taking deep breaths. "On a count of three. 1, 2, 3, push." 

Julia pushes as hard as she can. "AAAAAHHHHH!!!!" she screams as she feels the baby come out. The baby boy starts crying, making her and Damian start feeling relieved. 

"It's a boy," a nurse says as she puts the baby on Julia's chest. 

"He's got a good set of lungs on him," the doctor says. "Does Daddy wanna cut the umbilical cord?"

Damian looks at the doctor, happily. "Can I?" he asks. The doctor nods at him. He takes the scissors from her as she demonstrates where to cut. He finally cuts, and he tears up as he realizes that he's a father now. The nurse takes the baby to clean him up.

"What's his name?" the doctor asks as she delivers the placenta and cleans her up.

Damian looks at Julia. "What's his name, baby?" he asks her.

Julia smiles. "Kanyon Michael Lillard," she replies. 

Damian smiles at her. "You did so good, mama," he says. He kisses her forehead. "I love you, so much."

"I love you, too," she replies. They meet in the middle for a kiss.

I have my family, now.

I literally just came up with this plot from the top of my head, so I hope it works.
