Quarantine-Marcus Stroman

"New York COVID-19 Cases Reach Over 100,000."

"The State of New York in Complete Lockdown."

That pretty much sums up every headline all over the country as of right now. The amount of Corona Virus cases have reached an all time high now that it's unexpectedly spread so quickly. Luckily for Y/N and Marcus, they had just moved into their Brooklyn apartment right before they had to self-quarantine. Everything was now set up the way they wanted and have everything they would need for possibly the next couple months, and they can finally relax.

It was currently 9:30 AM, and Y/N was currently making breakfast for both her and Marcus. Now that she has so much time on her hands, she can try to make some new recipes. Right now, she was trying out a recipe for banana peanut butter pancakes. She thought she couldn't cook, but Marcus thought otherwise.

Marcus comes out after brushing his teeth and smiles when he smells the pancakes. "It smells good in here, babe," he says, taking a seat at the island.

Y/N smiles at him. "I'm glad you like it already," she says. She puts the last pancake on Marcus's plate and gives it to him. "Tell me what you think."

Marcus picks up the fork and takes a bite from the pancakes, immediately being met with the sweetness from both ingredients. He nods, impressed. "It's actually really good, babe," he says. "I don't know why you keep doubting yourself when it comes to your cooking. You have talent."

Y/N smiles at him. "Thanks, Marc," she says. She takes a seat next to him, and they enjoy their breakfast together.

Once they were done, Marcus volunteers to do the dishes since Y/N did the cooking. Y/N goes to sit on the couch in their open concept living room and turns on the tv, going straight to Netflix. "What do you feel like watching, babe?" she asks him.

Marcus thinks for a second. "Uh, we can watch that movie you wanted to watch," he says.

Y/N turns around in her seat. "You sure you wanna watch 365 Days?" (A/N-If you're gonna watch this movie, watch it ALONE.)

Marcus nods as he puts last dish away and dries his hands. "Yeah, I'm sure. We can watch whatever you want." He goes to sit next to her as she puts it on, and they enjoy the movie together... well, they try to.

~After the Movie~

They finish the movie, and Y/N goes back to the main menu. She looks at Marcus, who has an emotionless look on his face. "You okay, Marc?" she asks him.

Marcus still has the same look on his face. "Explain to me why you wanted to watch this movie," he says.

Y/N laughs at him. "If I'm being honest, even I don't know." One of her friends told her to watch it with Marcus to see his reaction, and it was so worth it.

Marcus shakes his head. "It's like '50 Shades of Grey' 2.0." Y/N laughs even more once he says those words.

Then, they just spend the next couple of hours just watching random shows they can find on Netflix. At around 2PM, they get up from the couch and go find something to eat. "What do you want for lunch?" Y/N asks.

Marcus thinks back to what they have. "Something simple," he says.

Y/N opens the fridge and sees some stuff to make chicken kale salads. "Does a salad sound okay?" she asks.

Marcus nods. "Yeah, that sounds good," he replies. With that being said, she takes out the kale and chicken breasts and starts cooking.

Once the salads were done, they go to sit on the couch and settle on 'Queen of the South' to watch while they ate. They ended up getting really into the show and completely losing track of time.

When they started the third season, it was almost 6PM-the state mandated curfew was at 8PM. They ended up going out to get something for dinner-with masks, of course. They settled on sweetgreen and ordered online in the car. Marcus ended up going in and paying. He comes out with their food and puts it at Y/N's feet. "They took my temperature when I walked in," he says as he gets in the car.

Y/N gives him a look. "Really?" she asks, sounding shocked.

Marcus chuckles as he nods and starts the car. "Yeah," he replies.

Y/N still looks confused. "Interesting." They continue the drive home, keeping their masks on to stay safe.

They arrive home about 10 minutes later and sit at the island to eat their dinner. Y/N goes to ask the million dollar question everyone is trying to find the answer to. "How long do you think this lockdown is gonna last?"

Marcus thinks for a second. "I have no idea." New York was leading the US in the most COVID-19 cases because it was so populated. "Hopefully, not too long if everyone stays home."

Y/N nods at him. "I mean, maybe it won't be so bad." She smiles at him. "At least we're together during this time."

Marcus smiles and puts his hand on top of hers. "That's the best part about this whole thing. I love you, Y//N/N."

Y/N smiles back. "I love you, too, Marcus." They meet in the middle for a sweet kiss and go back to eating their dinner.

Maybe, quarantine isn't so bad.

Don't ask why, but watch the very beginning (just the very beginning), and come back to THIS chapter and comment your thoughts on it. I'm just really curious to see how many of you would do it.
