The Cavs walk into the locker room with somber looks. They took a big loss against the Celtics, the score being 104-87. Cedi Osman took the loss the hardest. He didn't play his best and was beating himself up over it. He was starting to get changed when Larry Nance Jr. calls his name. "Osman," he says.
Cedi looks at him. "Yeah," he replies.
"We're about to hit the club," Larry says. "Wanna join?"
Cedi thinks about it for a second. He could use some relief. "Sure," he says.
With that being said, the entire team heads out to the car. Cedi gets in his car and follows the team to the club.
They arrive at the club a few minutes later, and Cedi passes his keys to the valet guy and heads inside. He walks over to the VIP section where the rest of the team was and daps every one. He stands next to Kevin Porter Jr. "What's up, bud?" he says to him.
Kevin nods at him. "Nothin' much, man," he replies. "What about you?"
Cedi shakes his head. "Same here," he replies. "Upset about the loss, though."
Kevin sighs and nods, agreeing with him. "Yeah, we took a heavy one."
They continue to have small talk about the game and personal situations. After few minutes Cedi leaves to the bar. He walks up to the bar and asks the bartender for a drink. He looks to his right and sees a familiar face sitting by herself. The bartender hands him his drink, and he takes it before handing him a tip. He walks over to the girl. "Abby?" he says.
Abby looks at him and smiles. "Cedi, hey," she replies, going in for a hug. "How are you doing?"
Cedi smiles before pulling away. "Good," he replies. "We took a big loss today, so we're here to take the edge off."
She smiles sadly at him. "Yeah, I saw the game. I'm sorry about that."
He shrugs. "Eh, it's alright. It's just one game." He takes a seat on the stool next to her. "So, what are you doing here by yourself?"
She sighs. "I just have a lot on my mind tonight."
He puts his hand on top hers to comfort her. "I heard you and Kevin Love broke up recently."
She starts feeling sad, thinking about it. "Yeah, that happened." It was a couple months ago.
He looks at her sadly. "I'm sorry for asking this, but what happened?"
She takes a deep breath, it coming out a little shaky. "Well, one day I came home from work, and I went to our room and saw him with another woman. So, I did the right thing and kicked him to the curb." She takes another deep breath to hold back some tears. "It still hurts, and drinking my issues away isn't really the solution, but it's certainly easier."
He rubs her hand with his thumb. "I'm sorry that happened to you. You didn't deserve that." Though, he wasn't surprised. Kevin never had a good track record with girls, so he was surprised when Abby ended up with him.
She smiles down at his hand. "It's okay. I can't dwell on it forever."
They continue to have a talk, and it warms Cedi's heart. He's always had feelings for Abby, but he's never said anything cuz she was dating Kevin. At first he thought it was wrong to go after a teammate's girl, but at this point he doesn't care.
Abby actually secretly felt the same way for Cedi. She just never admitted it until now. But it doesn't mean it didn't hurt her when Kevin cheated on her. Regardless of how she felt for Cedi, Kevin shouldn't have done what he did.
