WATTYS 2019 - 20/07/2019

I think the title says it all...

AAHHHHH! I'VE ENTERED BULLETPROOF INTO THE WATTYS2019!

I have been waiting for this for an entire year, right since I started planning this book from last year!

Now things so far haven't gone as planned at all. Unfortunately. 

This book is semi-edited, as in I couldn't find the time to edit it all and I just thought let me submit this to the Wattys before it's too late. This is my first time ever entering into the Wattys or any big competition on Wattpad so I'm super excited.  Hopefully, this'll get Bulletproof some recognition. 

Now the things that hadn't gone to plan:

By August 8th this year, I was meant to have all three books of the agent series completed and entered into the Wattys 2019. CLEARLY, I hit a bit of a snag (a total understatement).

Bulletproof was pretty much easy, as in the updates were frequent, the chapters were lengthy and it was completed in four months.

Now the second book in the agent series - Boundaries - has been giving me the biggest writer's block I've felt since 2014 when I was writing my first ever book on Wattpad. Boundaries was meant to get published on Wattpad in January and that was delayed to mid-February, Valentines day because your girl's a romantic. And the updates were doing okay till April when I spontaneously entered into CampNaNoWriMo and sprouted out a new book with no planning.

By the end of camp month, I had reached my goal for my new book - Me, Myself and I. But I had stopped updating Boundaries and so I tried going back to that and Me, Myself and I.

One thing I learnt: 

I am bad at multitasking. At least when writing two different and unrelated books. Honestly, I don't know how so many authors do it on Wattpad!

And then by June, I completely stopped writing. Two main reasons: major writer's block and I got a summer job which took out a ridiculous amount of my time and stressed me out.

Right now it is 20th July 2019, 1:07am, and I am in bed, writing this on my laptop, stressing about wattpad, uni and my life in general...

Just peachy!

Damn, this was meant to be a celebratory update but instead turned into a rant on my unsuccessful writing life. Sorry about that 🙃😬

Main point being (if there even was one to begin with), I feel better now. Just a little. Because I accomplished one thing which was to enter Bulletproof into the Wattys2019. And that will hopefully encourage me to quickly finish off Boundaries so that I can FINALLY publish the third and final book in the agent series on Wattpad. I have about 30 chapters down, and I'm excited about it!
