Chapter 37: Me and you together? We're Bulletproof

I ended up getting released two weeks later.

I groaned as I attempted to use my crutches. "Why is this so hard?"

Travis laughed from beside me. "You want me to carry you to the car?"

I shook my head and smiled at his offer.

My right leg was in a cast, hence the crutches. My ribs were still healing but at least the bandage on my jaw was off. It was basically healed except for the faint bruise and the ache sometimes. I also had three fake tooths put into my mouth given that they had broken off. I'm just glad it wasn't any of my front teeth.

"You look much better, Vi," Sebastian said from my other side. "The bruises on your face are nearly gone."

I grinned at the truth behind his words. My face was looking back to how it usually did except for the few faint and odd bruise.

Travis opened the back door and I slipped in with Dylan. I dropped my crutches on the floor of the car as Seb and Trav got into the front seats. Sebastian started the engine and pulled out of the hospital parking lot.

"So we're we headed? Hotel?" I asked.

"Oh, Vivi we're going to-"

"Dylan!" Sebastian and Travis yelled simultaneously.

Dylan grinned sheepishly at me.

"It's a surprise," Trav said with a grin.

I looked at them warily. "Okay then."

I repeatedly glanced out of the window to see where we were going. When the familiar iron gates yawned open, I stared at the back of their seats with wide eyes.

"What are we doing here?" I laughed.

Travis turned in his seat and smiled. "The Reece's invited us to stay here while we're in New York. Aiden especially. And I couldn't refuse."

I grinned at his words and Dylan cheered beside me.

"Yeah. I get to play with Crystie!"

Sebastian chuckled as he parked the car in front of the familiar fountain.

"You, little man, are growing up too fast," he laughed.

I all but threw the door open to leave the car. Aiden stood at the steps in front of the rich double doors. He grinned when he saw me and before I knew it, I was in his arms.

"You're here!" He exclaimed, and I laughed at his excitement.

He twirled me around and I tightened my arms around his neck. When he finally stopped, I leaned my head against his, still suspended in the air. I smiled at him. He smiled back.

"Okay, okay. That's enough, mate," Travis said and when I saw the grimace on his face, I chuckled.

Aiden set me down and grabbed my crutches. Sebastian picked a very happy Dylan onto his shoulders as we made our way into the mansion.

"SURPRISE!"

I jumped back.

Caiden, Alex and Tristan stood inside the front entrance with grins. Aiden's parents stood at the back along with Sebastian's. I saw the twins running around with Crystal. A banner hung in the air saying: Happy Birthday.

I looked at Aiden in surprise. "But my birthday was nearly two weeks ago!"

Aiden shot me a wink. "Happy belated birthday, Princess."
