Amelia
Morgan and I had just gotten home from school, and it had been a long day. It was not easy ignoring Gage today, but I knew I had to. I had to keep him safe, no question about it.
The only reason Morgan even knows, is because she caught what he did last time.
However, he has to be furious by know. And if he is angry, hell will be brought.
As soon as Morgan and I got home, I went up to my room to start on my homework, and Morgan went to get the snacks.
I know she will take a little while to make them, because she tends to munch away and forget her real purpose of being downstairs.
-DINGDONG-
I heard the doorbell ring, but I just assumed it was the UPS guy as Morgan always has her crap shipped to my house.
She has a bit of a shopping problem, but her parents only see a box once in a while because we get the rest daily at our house.
She doesn't want her parents to know because awhile back, Morgan's mother got into some serious credit card debt, and she feels they will be mad at her for using the money she earns to buy yet another pair of shoes.
I kept working on my chemistry homework and wondered aloud, "What made the hole in the ozone go away?"
"The hole in the ozone over Antarctica actually does still exist. However, it is not the threat it used to be. It all just depends on the weather, I guess." I knew that voice, but why would that voice be here? I was so mean to him today, but I had to.
I turned around slowly, with an accusing glare on my face.
"What are you doing here, Gage?"
"Princess! I thought you would be happy that I was here, after all I did just answer one of your chem questions for you. You are welcome by the way".
I didn't mean to be sassy to him, but I was in a mood, and I have to stay that way, especially if he is really back.
"I am sorry, Gage. I just am not in the best of moods today, I hope you can understand that I don't mean to actually take it out on you," I said, hoping he was not actually mad at me.
I have never been good at picking up on tones, I think part of it is because of my anxiety, but oh well.
"Angel, I could never be mad at you. The whole reason I am here is to spend time with you. I wanted to take you on a walk so that you can clear your mind, you just have seemed so out of it recently, and I want to make sure that you are okay!"
He really was a sweetie.
He cared about me!
Maybe what Lauren said wasn't actually true. I don't know though, there is always this nagging part of me that says maybe she is. I mean she has no reason to lie, right?
"Amelia honey, let's go". He stated, while swiftly pulling me up and out of the door with him. I waved goodbye to Morgan quickly as we passed the kitchen where I saw her gobbling my food up.
