I had just walked through the front door when I was rudely shoved onto a chair.

I knew that there was only one person who could be up to this silly nonsense, my mother.

Before I could even speak, I heard her call for Leah who then ran into the room with a flashlight which she decided to shine in my eyes.

Huh, I thought I put that on a shelf that she could not reach.

"We want to know everything, Teddy," my sister demanded.

"Okay, okay. I will answer any questions you have. I am innocent, I swear!" I jokingly played along with her.

I had a feeling my mom and sister would want to know everything about my date with Amelia, I just did not expect this way of interrogation.

My mom decided to cut in and walked over, before pulling me in for a hug.

"My baby boy finally went on his first date!" She exclaimed happily.

These two ladies really keep me on my feet sometimes.

It's like all they want from me is another girl for them to talk to.

Don't they get enough of that in this household?

"Teddy, first things first. Where did you take her?" Leah asked.

"We went to the bowling alley. After that, we went for a short walk".

"Did you hold hands?" My mom asked.

"Not exactly. She held my arm though. She is not used to touching yet," I responded.

"Did you kiss her?"

That question came from my sister. She watches too many princess movies. It's like she expects me to kiss Amelia on the first date.

It's cute really. I think she believes that Amelia and I will turn into a prince and princess romance story once we kiss.

Unfortunately, we didn't kiss where she would have wanted us to.

"Sort of. I kissed her forehead and her cheeks, but not her lips. She is not ready for that. We are not ready for that," I responded.

"UGH!" Leah screeched while stomping her foot.

Okay, so someone was disappointed with that answer, but then I felt it.

Did my mother just smack the back of my head?

How did she even reach that high?

"Ouch, mom! What was that for?"

"Because you didn't kiss her, Teddy!" My mother exclaimed.

Ah, so she was not satisfied with my previous answer as well.

"Oh, sorry for ruining your date, you guys," I retorted sarcastically.

"Don't get sassy with me, young man," my mom responded.

"Teddy, did Amelia like my flowers?" Leah butted in, ready for the attention to be back on her.

I chuckled though. It was adorable how Leah was worrying about whether or not Amelia liked the flowers she picked out. She really wanted this date to go well.

"Yeah, Leah! She loved them!"

"Yay! I have to go tell Muffins!"

After that statement, Leah ran off to go get her teddy bear.
