Chapter 13

*2 weeks later*

So I wasn't able to go to school last week because I was still moving slow. I've been making progress and I've been moving a lot faster. I went to my doctors and I asked for a school pass so I could be excused for my absence, which was for a long time.

I got in my car and looked over the note it read:

Please excuse Skylar from the days she missed school. She was in a terrible accident and couldn't walk for the longest time, so therefore she wasn't able to go to school for awhile.

Doctor. Waters

I drove to school and once I got there Ryan was already there. He put decorations on my locker and all of our friends were with him. They all ran up and hugged me. Once the hug fest was over I went to the office to give them my note. The read it over carefully and they excused me from school. Once I went to my locker to get my things my friends were there and they asked what happend. I told them I would tell them at lunch. They seemed fine with that answer.

I went to my first class and Luke was there. He sat next to me in all of our classes we had together. Unfortunately we had all of our classes together, so he bugged me through half of the class, just like he always does. No one hardly knew I was gone except for the teachers and my friends of course.

I didn't expect anyone else to notice because they don't care. I sit in the back of the class with my hood of my jacket up and then 5 minutes into the class the teacher tells me to put it down. I read most of the time, only on the days we do nothing.

I'm a pretty boring person but my friends think I'm fun.

Once lunch came around we were aloud to go anywhere so I told my friends to meet me outside by my car. We all got there and before I told them why I was gone I asked Ryan if I should tell them about Ryan and I being together and he said sure.

"I have to tell you guys something before I tell you guys what happened." I grabbed Ryan's hand and we looked at each other and said at th same time. "We are dating."

"Oh my god!l They all shouted at once.

"We need girl weekend this weekend." Maia said.

I whispered and asked Ryan if I could, since it is his house. He told me I should and that he would go out with the guys.

"Ok guys I'm going to tell you all why I was gone." I said.

"Ok. You can tell us anything Sky, you know that."

"I know." I looked at Ryan and he nodded his head.

"I was in a pretty bad accident and I couldn't walk for a really long time."

"Oh my god! What happened?"

I looked at Ryan again and he nodded his head, suggesting I should tell them about my father.

"My father. He-" I stoped talking. Tears rolling down my cheeks.

"She has a hard time with this. Give her a minute." Ryan said. Talking to our friends.

He put an arm around me telling me I should continue.

"He raped me pretty bad and everything was messed up down there."

"Oh my god! Sky I'm so sorry." Maia and Luke said together.

"That's not even the worse part. I have a less than 35% chance that I might not be able to have children." I started crying again.

I looked at Ryan and there were tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry Sky." My friends said together.

"It's ok. Ryan took care of it."

"What do you mean?" They asked.

I looked at Ryan, asking for his permission again. He just nodded, blinking away the tears forming in his eyes.

"He caught my father raping me and he shot my father."

"Oh my god!"

"It's ok. He deserved to die. He ruined my life."

"I know but still he's still your father."

"Please don't remind me. I don't want to continue thinking about that man."

"Ok."

"Maia if you want to have girls night this weekend come to my house. She's living with me." Ryan said.

"Wow that's nice. You guys are living together. You guys are perfect for eachother."

"I'll text you the address." I said to her.

"Ok."

"Well I'm going to class." I said waving my friends good bye as I went to class.

I kept looking around. I feel like someone is following me. I turned around one more time. There she was.

"I know your secret. I know why you were gone. I'm going to tell everyone. You're nasty." She said as she took collar of my jacket and smashed me against the lockers.

"Please don't."

"Why not? You deserve it."

"What did I ever do to you?"

"Nothing. It's what you did to my friend. You deserve to have the whole school know that you were raped."

"No I don't. Please just leave me alone."

"Never. As long as you are in my school you're life will be a living nightmare." She then let me go and went to class. I ran to my car and drove home.
