Dan was pulled from his world of music and law books when someone tapped on his shoulder. He spun around, headphones around his neck. He was just getting comfortable with his new desk and he really liked it.
"What's up?" Dan asks with a smile, he was always happy to see Phil.
"Put on something nice, there are some people downstairs I want you to meet." He says sternly.
"Downstairs or down downstairs?"
"Down, downstairs." Phil nods before turning on his feet and walking out of the room.
Dan sucks in a shaky breath, he knew this was going to happen sooner or later. The Millionaire's Club was meeting today and Phil wanted Dan to meet everyone. The brunet was nervous, to say the least. He had no idea who these people were or if they would freak out over him being there with Phil or if Phil had even told them.
Would he have to act like just a friend to Phil? Because he didn't want to act, he hated acting and to be truthful, he had stage fright.
He walks out of the study and crosses the hall to Ant's room, he cracks it open a little to see the boy sound asleep in his bed, Phil probably laid him down. That gave them between 2-3 hours to get what they needed to get done. Shutting the door softly, he heads for Phil's room- his and Phil's room.
"I'm going to be honest Dan, when I'm around the Millionaire's Club I get kind of... standoff-ish. And it's not from you, it's from them. I feel like I have to live up to his image of this stone-hard guy all of the time who fucks anyone's bitch. But I'm not, I just want my family under one roof again. But they are good people, I promise. I wouldn't bring you around them if they weren't."
Phil's words bounced around Dan's brain. He just wanted a kiss, he wasn't sure if he could handle stone-hard Phil, he didn't like that side of him very much.
He slipped on some good jeans that fit his curves nicely, at least that's what Phil told him, and a white dress shirt. Phil was wearing a tux when he came inside the study, so Dan was guessing that's how everyone else would be looking.
Heading downstairs, he caught a look of himself in the hallway mirror. He added some touch-ups here and there before continuing down into the basement. The room was filled with laughter and the sound of people hitting pool balls with the poles.
Phil's back was to the entrance, a pool pole in his right hand, he laughed with a man next to him who looked about his age. They all wore nice suits. One guy, who just hit a striped 6 into one of the holes, looked up at Dan, his blonde hair pushed back into a slick quiff. He cleared his throat, everyone else falling silent and looking up towards the door. Dan froze, eyes drifting to Phil who broke out in a smile.
"Hon, come here." He held his hand out, Dan quickly taking it before realized how stupid he looked. Phil pulled him into his chest, kissing his head before turning to the men. "Dan, this is Chris Kendall, my best friend." Chris was the man standing next to Phil, he had shaggy brown hair and smile lines that were prominent but didn't make him look old.
"Hello." Chris' smile is so bright it blinds Dan.
"Hi." the younger boy murmurs.
"Chris is a firefighter. That one is Alexander," Phil points to the blonde who just sat down his pole to grab his glass of wine. "he's in insurance. This one is Ben, the banker." Phil then points to a redhead who is standing in front of the jukebox, he spins around, giving a bow and tipping his invisible top hat. "don't play cards with him, he cheats." Phil whispers to Daniel.
"I heard that!" Ben shouts without looking, giving Phil the bird. Phil flips him off with a smile.
"And last but not least, this is Jack." Phil points to the last guy, who is standing on the opposite side of the table from Chris, Phil and Dan. "He's the doctor."
