Everything was dark. Someone was shouting my name somewhere in the eerie darkness and I look around helplessly, trying to pinpoint in which direction was the voice coming from.

Out of blue, a gust of wind brushed my arms and I gasp. From a distance, I saw a replica of myself running ahead, wearing a white dress that looked shorter than the dresses I have seen her wear. I forced my aching feet to move and follow her. I was never good at running so I stayed behind a few meters away from her, it seems impossible to catch up with the way she was running and I was surprised that her scrawny legs can run as fast as that.

Another gust of wind brushed my arm and I saw the familiar face of Everett rushing past me. I realized that he was in fact, chasing after my replica. The darkness surrounding me slowly dissolved into a hill where I once dreamt of, I had a yellow dress with paper flowers back then and I and Everest were having some snacks under a tree.

I let the thought go and realized that they had stopped under the tree and was talking. My replica was poking his chest with her finger again and again whilst her mouth was moving but I could hear a thing. I moved closer and I finally caught up with the situation.

"Let us elope my love, let us run away from all the objections in this world,"

"But my love, we could not possibly do that, we have our whole life set here and we are just going to run away like that? I refuse my dearest," Everett exclaimed and let go of my replica's hand immediately.

"But why not? Our family does not approve of what is going on between us, would you rather that we live in sin?" She ask and tears dampened her red rosy cheeks. "No my love but leaving...it is too much too bear," Everett waved his hand in the air to emphasize his point and my replica fell to the ground in hysterics.

I furrowed my eyebrows together.

He knelt before her and he pulled her into his arms. "Please do not cry my love, the sound of your lament is breaking my heart to pieces," he sooth and she struggled to get out of his hold but he tightened his arms around her.

"Let go of me you brute...let go of me. Have you no shame? Hugging me so tenderly after taking my pride away. Let go me, I say!" She kicked her legs in the air as she attempt to escape the Everett's arms.

I cross my arms on my chest and applauded mentally at the both of them. They were both acting like they were in a sappy classic love story.

"Speak ill of me as much as you like my love but it shall not change my mind," Everett stated firmly and my replica sunk back to her knees and more tears fell from her reddened eyes.

I felt a pang in my chest once again and I rub the spot. Everything was too familiar for me and I couldn't help but let a cry of pain escape my lips and tears run down from my cheeks.

Everett carefully slid his arms away from my replica's midriff and he watched helplessly as she cried her heart out. Suddenly, the she look up from her hands with eyes full of determination.

"Their is someone else is it?"

"What nonsense are you spouting my love, their is nobody else in my heart other than you," Everett's eyes widened and the she glared at him with distaste.

"You shall not fool my heart anymore, if you truly have someone else in your heart then I shall be willing to leave you alone...forever," my replica whispered, enough for him to hear her meek voice breaking.

He grab her arm and pulled her close to him. "I dare not do such a horrible thing my love. You are the only fire kindling in my lonely heart, without your warmth, I am afraid that I shall die—" my replica gasp and  clamp her hands on the young man's mouth.
