(Rewritten) Epilogue-

1 year later-

STEFAN:

"Stefan, Micah's here to see you."

I took a look from my computer and glanced at the doorway to see Kierra standing casually against the hinge. Covered in sweat and oil, she repeatedly wiped her hands on the dirty towel she'd taken off the rack and smiled genuinely at me. I mimicked her as I briefly returned my focus on the image that was currently sporting my screen. Once finished, I motioned her in.

"Hey Kierra," I greeted as I took a stand from my seat and made my way around the desk. "Micah's here already?"

"Yeah," she answered. "You know how prompt he can be."

I agreed. Micah Timbers was a swift man and therefore was never late for anything. Considering the 48-year-old was living with OCD, his need to be on time was on point. I asked. "Where is he?"

She tilted her head towards the entrance. "He's out there waiting. I told him I'd come for you."

"Alright thanks," I replied. "You can tell him to come in."

Kierra nodded and then made her exit. As soon as she disappeared, I couldn't help but let my eyes trail behind her.

I'd hired Kierra a little bit after I'd finally opened my new mechanic shop and she was everything I least expected her to be. Blessed with alluring light brown eyes and creamy caramel skin, I doubted she'd stepped foot in the right place when she came to apply for a job. No women who looked as good as Kierra Whitaker could determine where the fluid reservoir and the front suspension belonged. That was why I'd doubted her abilities to work for me.

However, she'd manage to prove me and everyone of her co-workers wrong. Before hiring her, I'd come to learn that she was envied by so many other places I couldn't even keep count. Her crafting skills were off the top and it made me realize that I'd be a fool to pass her up. Stefan's Mechanic Shop needed to be heard and she was the right person to make that happen.

And she did.

My business was now booming, I was getting mentioned by clients left and right, and the checks wouldn't stop growing. Plus, I was part of a family who loved and cared for me as I did for them and in just a few months we'd created a bond nobody could break. My life had finally turned out the way I wanted it to and I was quite content with what fate had decided to present to me now.

Quite.

While hard work and dedication allowed me a key to success in my business ventures, it seemed as if those two terms weren't going to do me any good in my personal affairs. It had been year since the incident regarding Jasmine and I occurred and I was still paying for it. I hadn't seen nor talked to Chantel in ten fucking months and the thought of it was killing me. I never knew I'd make it this far in my life and not have the one person I truly loved stand right beside me.

But I couldn't say I didn't deserve it. After what I did with Jasmine and almost having to pay for it, I was surprised I was even making a name for myself in my career. I completely dogged the one woman who gave a shit about me and now she was gone, probably forever. I refused to think about it but I had to face reality. God knew how much I missed her and to show Him how much I did, I tried doing everything I could to get her to see how much I was fighting to get us back where we were. In six months I had fallen in love with an angel and I'd messed it all up for several busts.
