Mavi Gwenwyn, a depressed fourteen-year-old in our world with a seemingly huge secret, would do anything to die. She has no soulmate here, when everyone else has one.
So she joins the Area 51 raid on September 20, 2019. Her aim: to see some aliens and then deliberately get herself killed. She doesn't expect herself to fall through a doorway and land in a different universe where her secrets mean nothing. Where it's 2009 instead of 2019. Where there's a chance she could fix everything.
A world where the Avengers exist. A universe where her greatest dreams can come true. And where her worst fears existed as well.
A world where soulmates exist, just like her home dimension. You and your soulmate have birthmarks, cuts, wounds, and scars at the same time. Whatever is on your skin is on theirs. For example, write an appointment down on your wrist and it shows up on their wrist, too.
It's a world where almost everyone knows who is meant for them. And before Mavi set foot in that dangerous world, she didn't know that she did indeed have someone meant for her.
And while she waits to uncover her future with her love beside her, she acts as an ordinary high-schooler popular for her musical YouTube career during the day. And at night, she is a vigilante working for SHIELD that goes by the name "Nightmare."
But will Mavi ever really find the one she was destined for, or is she doomed to spend forever simply waiting?
And can she spare the universe from Thanos, or will everything she loves fall to ruin?
