The End

I slap Loki as soon as we land in some forest. "Why did you bring me here?"

"I need your help," he says, like it hurts him physically to say the words.

"Well, Rowan needed help then and I couldn't help him. So I don't think I can help anyone." My heart is breaking. Every time I think of him, it breaks more.

"You can help me kill Thanos," he says. "Please."

"No. You all can handle it. No one needs me. But I need someone else, and there's only one way I can find him again."

"You can't bring back the dead, Starkdottir," he starts.

But I made a promise. And I intend to see to it that I fulfill it.

So I whirl around, storming away from him, and I draw a knife.

I need to kill Thanos before he does anything to this universe. I was warned not to do something, but in all my fear, I made myself fall into the abyss.

And in doing so, I thought I would be the undoing of the universe.

But I have seen this girl's power. And it could be more; she could be the end of Thanos and all other threats. Her power is unparalled to even Thor's, and she could grow to even have the power to take down Odin if she would let me train her.

She could save the universe, but grief is not letting her think clearly.

She stalks away, but before I can tell her why I have brought her here, she draws a knife.

If she attacks me, I will fight to defend myself whether or not she is the universe's salvation.

I hear him draw a knife too, thinking I mean to fight him. No, that's not happening.

I hold up the blade to my throat, taking in the world one last time, and I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye to Dad, Livvy, Wade, and Cassian. But maybe I'll see them again. If this works, I will see Rowan and  them again.

So I gulp, finally making the slice that ends my life, for Rowan.

And it all goes black, but I smile. Faintly, as all fades.

Goodbye...

A single word whispered in the wind...

Goodbye to the old life...

A hello to a new one.

I also will not be updating the next one as frequently because I've just started another book on notebook.ai that I want to publish in real life one day and I kind of work on it frequently. AND there's another show I gave up on before. But I just saw a certain scene near the end, and now I HAVE to know what led to it.

So, yeah, before, all I used to do was write. Now I'm doing all these other things and it takes a little more time for a chapter here.
