Heaven pov

"Hey guys how long did I take?"

Surprisingly the kids had already left. I felt good because they had ate everything. They are the most amazing children I've ever met, not that I have met many. I think I will cook dinner for them later but the father, he and I didn't have a clean start at all, I was hoping that maybe soon he and I could become friends so I can be in these children's life. In fact they need someone.

"ding-a-ling-a-ling" the phone ringed

"Hello this is Heaven, how may I help you?"

"Hey babe its Kelly!"

"Hey Kells, what's up? I miss you so much!"

"I'm glad you said that because I'm coming up tomorrow morning!"

"You are mostly welcome."

Kelly Matthews is my best friend since kindergarten, we've been through everything together. I LOVE HER LIKE A SISTER. But I'll probably kill her for hanging up on me like that.

I took a deep breath.

What will I do today? Normally I would be at work now, but since I retired I just stay at home. I retired because the last case I worked on I took it a little personal. We lost three 9 years old, Tia, Kayla and Trey. They were murdered by a serial killer named infant killer. It hurts so bad so I just left, maybe In the future I will go back. But for now I'm still healing.

I've never been in a relationship before, I've always put my education and job first. So maybe now I might have time for one, and I really love them Prestly kids, I'll have time for them now too.

"Excuse me?" a familiar male voice said making my inside shake

"Emmanuel this is an act of trespassing!" I smiled

"Well let me see, you made me breakfast, trespassed on my property first so therefore you won't call the police on me will you?" he said in a flirty voice

"It depends and what business you have here." I flirted back

"I just wanted to tell you thank you for the breakfast and the kids told me about you too." he added

"I was told things about you as well."

"All good things I hope." he said as he moved closer to me

"That reminds me, we started off on bad terms. " he continued

"Indeed!" I said while I backed away from him

"Friends then?" He bit his lip and held out his hand

"Friends it is." I took his hand

"I'll see you later then." He said walking towards the door

"Perhaps" I said and he winked at me.

I never felt like this around anyone before, for a minute I thought I was dreaming. He was just so calm, he didn't argue or anything. His appearance in my house was shocking, he didn't even knock he just walked in.

Those big hazel brown eyes, was beyond perfect. I stared in them and I felt something. It was love at second sight, I was too busy at first sight. No this ain't suppose to happen to me. I never thought there would be a day where I would feel like I'm in love with someone. My mother must be smiling from heaven right now.
