i do not own lord of the rings it's just fanfiction

long time no see.

Im combining two chapters, because ive already written the original story, and its way too long for anyone to want to read. I am not going to say how many chapters I've written... because it'll probably scare you away.

They broke away from the series of kisses, only occasionally, to take a breath. None of them wanted to talk, to return to reality, and face life changing decisions.

When they finally pulled away from each other's lips, both of them had a small shy smile on their face.

Legolas's face hardened quickly, as he quickly remembered Arwen.

He couldn't do this.

Aragorn, noticing the elf's sudden change in expression, he made a split second decision, he owed it to Legolas to be honest, and take a bit of confusion away from him.

"Legolas," Aragorn paused, he wasn't sure why, maybe for the dramatic effect, " I love you."

The elf seemed surprised, his eyebrows raised, and beautiful, blue eyes, wide. He hesitated for a few moments, his eyes darting, searching, before replying.

" Aragorn," He too paused, but not for the drama, " I as well..."

The elf avoided Aragorn's gaze, and directed his stare to the ground.

Aragorn raised his chin, gently. " I have loved you longer than you believe, I have loved you before Arwen, before the fellowship."
The elf, again, seemed even more confused, "Why would you ignore it?" Now he looked directly at Aragorn, deep into his brown eyes.

Legolas's voice had a hint of hurt, anger, jealousy and embarrassment mixed all together.

"It wasn't right, it isn't right, I had to distract myself." Aragorn confessed, ashamed.

The elf looked away and Aragorn winced with the pain he knew he had caused Legolas.

"Legolas, I was scared you didn't feel the same way."

Legolas turned towards him quickly, a small smile on his face, " A ranger... scared?"

Aragorn knew that it would take some time for Legolas to fully forgive him, but this time, he would stay with the elf till he did.

For now, the satisfaction of teasing him cheered him up a bit.

"All that matters, Estel, is that we are here now, and I am telling you that I love you,"  the elf continued, bravely, his heart beating one beat faster, with each word.

Aragorn wanted to stay in that moment, forever.

next day

Aragorn was lying, awake, in bed, going over the events of the night before. A day had passed, and unluckily, they hadn't had the chance to meet.

A thought kept him from sleeping.

The same exact moment, Aragorn had kissed Legolas a goodbye, and promised him he loved him, again; Arwen was riding through dangerous forests, filled with deadly creatures. She was almost dying, just to reach him.

He heard a soft knock on the door to his room.

"Please come in."

He sat up in bed. Legolas walked in, he whispered, "Aragorn let us go for a walk."
