Gale was bleeding uncontrolably. I started to wave my hands and arms in the air screaming his name. He turned his head slowly and looked at me. He gave a weak smile and tried to get up. When he moved his leg, to turn back to me, he yelped in pain. I could his leg wedged under a huge boulder.

"Gale don't move, I'm coming", I yelled hopping of the rock . I landed in pain but right now I didn't care.

All I cared about was making sure he was okay. Our time together feels like a storm, like wild wind and rain, like something too big to handle but to powerful to escape. When he kissed me today it was full of promise and I didn't want to lose him. Not today. Not the day of my only sister's funeral. That would bring even more pain.

Getting to Gale with my injured leg reminded me of when I burned my leg in my first Hunger Games. Except that I had no time to sit or take time to feel the pain. Gale was submerged in a pool of blood. He was sweating buckets. He winced at the pain.

When I got to him, he had on a weak smile. His right leg was covered in blood. The rock looked to be about 200 pounds!

"Oh my god, Gale! Are you okay?"

"What do you think? I'm just sitting here, and bleeding for fun!" He said with a smirk.

"Shut up", I said nudging him with a grin.

"Ow Katniss! I'm already in enough pain as it is. Don't be mean to me!" Gale was still smiling as he said this.

"Gale, how did this happen? What were you doing?" My mind flooded with unanswered questions. I needed to know how this life threatening accident happened-- if it was an accident at all.

'Well, after your mom threw a fit, I came here and sat in our special spot. Then someone came and pushed a boulder down from that cliff. I caught them from the corner of my eye, so I had a little time to run, but I tripped on these plant vines" Gale said with pain on his face.

"Damn, Gale" I said getting angry."How could you trip over vines!?"

"Sorry, for getting hurt Katniss!", He said turning away from me.

I started to fell guilty. I should be happy he was even alive. "I'm sorry" I said touching his shoulder. "Let me try to get you up"

When I tried to push the huge rock, it put him in even more pain. He screamed in pain and agony. I didn't know what to do now. I couldn't push the boulder nor pick up the boulder. I had no way of helping Gale in time. He could bleed out by the time he gets help.

I saw his face turning a shade of blue. I saw the pain on his face. Together we sat, side by side, hoping for some help to come by.

All of a sudden, a hovercraft apperared in the distance. Its bulky, silver body was getting closer. And closer. And closer.
