      "I thought I finished you off" he said. My heart was racing. He glared at Gale, still holding that villainous smile.

      I felt my eyes beginning to water. I couldn't look weak in front of them. But I just couldn't believe it. Why would he do this to me? He knows how much I care for Gale. I was speechless. My mouth felt dry, reminding me of the Hunger Games.

 "You did this to me?!" Gale said getting up with a limp. I would stop him, but I was to shocked to even move. It was like my feet were glued to the floor.

  I knew I had to do something. My husband, Peeta, and my best friend, Gale, cannot fight each other! "Gale, it's not worth it" I stared Peeta in the eye. I had to blink rapidly so I won't start crying. I felt like I've taken a jab in the stomach.

In a sudden move, Peeta lunged for Gale. His hands were in a tight grip, clamped on Gale's neck. "NO!", I screamed. Gale pushed Peeta off of him. Peeta flew across the room and crashed into the desk. Paper and hygienic items fell to the ground. Peeta immediately recovered and sprinted towards Gale. They both fell to the ground, attacking each other. I stood there, watching. I was in shock and I still couldn't move at all. I thought about my life again;

I'm Katniss Mellark. I won the Hunger Games and then got chosen to fight in the Quarter Quell. I was the Mockingjay. My sister, Prim, died. I got married to Peeta Mellark, but I still love Gale. When Peeta and Gale fought each other, I just stood there, hopelessly.

Peeta now had Gale pinned to the floor, choking him. Peeta had his elbow pressing on Gale's neck. I shook myself out of the shock and looked for something. Anything that can help me save them. Gale let out a deafening scream. My head shot straight towards him. Peeta was now punching Gale's face repeatedly. Now, at that time, those tears really did fall down my face.

"Any last words?", Peeta said. I can admit that it was over. Peeta will kill Gale. If I go in the middle of the fight, I would be an easy kill for Peeta, but somtehing was odd. Gale wasn't really trying to fight back. He was showing me something. His finger was slightly pointing towards a bag on the ground. I didn't need to hear anything else. I ran towards the bag. As I grabbed the bag from the floor, it felt the least bit heavy. I immediatley knew what was inside. A gun.

I unzipped the opening of the bag and took the gun out. I did this all in less than 5 seconds. The gun clicked and the bullet escaped. I purposely aimed for Peeta's hand. I didn't want to kill him. He was my husband. I still have feelings for him. Peeta was just getting jealous, but he still didn't have the right to almost kill Gale.

"AGH! DAMN IT, KATNISS!" Peeta shouted, while cradling his hand.

"You have NO right to try to kill Gale!" I agrued back.

"Yeah, tell him!" Gale said.

"Zip it, Gale!" I said furiously.

I had the gun poised at both of them. We were all glaring at each other. "If you two start that again, there's gonna be one less person in this hovercraft. Now, WALK!" I said, motioning the gun towards the exit. Without hesitation, they both started walking towards the door.
