Third person's POV

"Doctors! Come fast! Emily's heart stopped! We need to reanimate her!"

Five Doctors came as fast as they could, stormed into Emily's room and started reanimating her. After hours of resuscitation the doctors were about to give up on her when Emily's heart finally started beating. The doctors are trying to keep her stable to avoid losing her again. Emily is still in a coma but stable. Mrs. Watkins is feeling better now and on her way to visit Tyler.

Tyler's POV

I heard the door slowly opening and my mum stepped in.

"How are you feeling hon?"

"A bit better now but I'm worried sick about Emily. How are you mum?"

"Honestly, I don't know. I don't know how to feel. And I'm worried too but she is the strongest woman I know. She will get through it."

"Thanks mum. I needed to hear that."

And with that, Dr. Williams stepped into the room and talked to my mum.

"Mrs. Watkins, may I talk to you? Alone?"

"Of course." Mum left the room and talked to the doctor. I wanted to know what's going on with my sister but I can barely move. I felt horrible for what happended. I can't stand being in the dark. I could see through the window that mum got really upset.

Meanwhile in the hallway (Third person's POV)

"Mrs. Watkins I've got good, bad and really bad news. First, Emily's heart stopped a few times but we managed to get her back. The bad news are that her heart got extremly weak because of this incidents. The really bad news are that she needs a new heart or she will die".

Mrs. Watkins needed a few moments to process what the doctor just said.

"Oh my dear Emily... Where are you going to get the new heart for her? Is it even possible to get a new one that fast?"

"It will take a while because we need a donor. I'll look if I can find someone who's able to help."

"Okay. I'll go and talk to my son. He won't be happy to hear that."

Tyler's POV

Mum came in with a expression on her face I coundn't describe. It was a mix of hurt and anger and a bit of disbelief.

"Mum? What's wrong?"

"It's about Emily. It's.. I don't know how to tell you. It's just too hard."

"Just tell me already. I want to know."

"I hope it won't affect your health."

"I will be fine. Please.. Just tell me."

"Okay. Here goes nothing. Emily needs a new heart to survive."

All I did was looking at her. Shocked. Did she just say that Emily needs a new heart? Am I dreaming? Is this all just a really bad nightmare? Why don't I wake up? As reality hit me I felt tears welling up in my eyes. I can't help it. I've never cried like that in my whole life. Mum came closer to me and sat next to me on my bed. She pulled me into a hug and whispered

"Please don't cry. We will find someone to help her. We will do anything to save her." I couldn't stop crying. It just keeps getting worse everytime I think about it.

"It's all my fault. We should have left earlier. I could have prevented it... This Situation... All the pain I caused.."

"Cut the crap! It's NOT your fault Tyler. I think the man who is to blame for the accident was doing this on purpose."

"Mum, if she dies I will never forgive myself. Never."

"Tyler, she will make it. We will find a donor for Emily. Everything will be okay."

We were interrupted by Dr. Williams. She looked stressed out and kind of nervous.

"Mrs. Watkins, Tyler, We can't find a donor in time to save Emily."

"How is she supposed to survive without a new heart?"

"Either one of you give her yours or she will die. I know it's much to ask. I'll let you two alone to talk this through. Press the button if you guys decided what to do." With that she left the room with millons of unanswered questions. My heart almost stopped in my chest and my throat was getting dry, my hands started shaking and I'm feeling very sick. I can't believe that my sister's life is depending on my mum and me. Her life is now in our hands. One of us has to sacrifice their life to save her. She means so much to me. I can't let her die when I have the chance to save her. Her life just begun and can't end yet. I thought a long time about it and made up my mind. I will do it. I'm gonna save her and let her live her life. It's my fault that she's in this position right now, so I'm helping her out of this mess. I pressed the button without a second thought and Dr. Williams came in.

"So, what's going to happen now?"

"I will do it. I'm ready to give her my heart."

"Are you sure you want to do it?"

"Yes, I want to save her." Mum turned to face me and started crying.

"Tyler, please think about it."

"I can't risk it to let her die. It's not even sure if I'm going to make it. Before you lose both of us it's better you lose just one."

"I'd rather lose none of you"

"I know mum but we don't have a choice here." Dr. Williams interrupted us

"Tyler, get ready for the OP and say your goodbyes." I asked the doctor to give us a moment alone.

"Mum, I'm grateful for everything what you did for us. I know Emily is going to be fine and you can live your lifes like before."

"It won't be the same without you. I love you Tyler."

"I love you too, mum. Tell Emily I love her and will never forget her."

"Will do. Goodbye Tyler."

"Goodbye mum."

A few doctors came in to get me ready for the OP.

"Tyler, you should know that there will still be a risk for Emily." I looked at her a little shocked.

"What risk?"

"Her body might reject the heart and could lead to major damage in her organism."

"I'm dying anyway but does that mean she still could die?"

"The risk won't be high because you are related, but it could happen, yes."

"Ugh, I'm ready to save my sister. Let's do this."

As the doctors brought me to the OP I got nervous as hell but I know I'm doing the right thing. I've been there for her since dad's gone and mum got depressive. This will be the last time I'll be here for her and I pray that she's going to live a happy life.
