A few days later

Emily's POV

Patrick and I got closer over the last few days, which made me incredibly happy. He's nice and always knows a way to cheer me up when I'm sad. Today I'm leaving and going back to earth. I hope Mum isn't too upset. I told Tyler that I would try to get up here as often as I could. I promised Patrick to visit him at least once a month. I really did like him. But before I can go back up here I have to talk to Mum. Unfortunately, I can't tell her anything about all of this. I hate lying to her and even more that I would have to leave her alone if I was up there.

Interrupting my thoughts, Tyler came over to me and motioned that he wants to talk. I nodded and he started speaking: "I have some good news and bad ones." I sighed and told him to tell me the bad ones first.

"Okay, so you know you can't tell Mum that you were here and the worst part is that an hour up here means five hours on earth." I gulped and just stared at him in shock. He seemed to feel my slight anxiety and pulled me into a hug. "Hey, but the good part is that a got a necklace for you, with which you can come to me and the time on earth stops while you're here." I immediately lit up with a smile across my face.

"That's awesome. But I have a weird feeling there's a catch."

"Yeah there actually is. The time only stops once a month but for as long as you're here."

"That's fine. I thought I would visit once a month so it won't be bothering me."

"Great. Now, are you ready to leave?"

"Yes I am. Where am I gonna be?"

"At home. Mum's already there, so you won't be in the hospital anymore."

"Thank god. I hate them with a passion."

"See you soon Emily. Everything will be alright." I smiled at him and waited for the bright light to appear above my head. Soon, I was standing in the middle of my bedroom and taking in my surroundings. My room was tidy and everything was back in place as if anything was never touched. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous seeing Mum again. Afraid of her asking what had happened.

I finally put myself and the rest of strengh left together and carefully opened my bedroom door and stepped outside. I slowly walked into the direction of the living room, hoping Mum would be there. I was right, she sat on the couch and read a book. She seemed to hear the light cracking of the wooden floor underneath my feet. She tore her eyes from the book and rose from her seat. The book in her hands was left on the couch, while she walked over to me, looking at me like she just saw a ghost passing.

"Emily, is that you?" She asked, barely to hear.

"Yes Mum, it's me. I'm sorry for disappearing like that. I know you must have been worried and scared but I'm here now."

"It's fine dear. I'm just glad you're fine and back home." She said with a wide smile. She pulled me into a tight hug and kissed my forehead, while saying everything will be okay from now on. I sighed in relief when she said it's okay. I wouldn't know what to tell her if she asked where I was.

After a long time of family reunion, I left the living room and went back to mine. I felt so tired that just after a few minutes I laid in bed I fell asleep.

3 months later

I woke up by the sun lighting up my room through my half closed curtains. Ugh... Why do I always forget to close them completely? Whatever. I need to get up anyways. Today is Friday and my class teacher planned a camping trip over the weekend. Yay... She also said that we're leaving today, which is even worse. Who wants to go camping after a nerve wrecking day at school?

I eventually got up and went to the bathroom, where I took a short but refreshing shower. After that I finished packing the last few things and went into the kitchen. To my suprise the breakfast was already served and my mother waited for me to sit down. She looked up at me and said good morning. I replied with a smile while sitting down and started eating.

"Are you excited to go camping?"

"Well, part of me is but the other one wants to stay here. But I try to stay optimistic an make the best out of it."

"That's the spirit. I'll drive you to school if it's okay for you."

"I was about to ask you as well. Can you do me a favor and pick up Christine as well?"

"Of course."

"Thank you."

We ate in a comfortable silence for a few minutes when we finished. We cleaned the kitchen and then I walked up to my room to get my bag. I glanced one last time around to check if I forgot something. After I was sure I've got everything I went downstairs into the living to tell Mum I'm ready to leave. She got up and we went to the front door. I opened it and stepped outside and walked straight to the car, where I placed the bag into the storage room. Mum came short after and sat down behind the steering wheel. I opened the door to the passanger seat and sat down as well and buckled up my seat belt while Mum did the same.

She started the engine and drove down the path until we reached the main road. Christine lived just a few minutes away, that's why we go to school together very often. Jonas lived a bit outside of town and had to drive from the other direction. A good few minutes later, Mum pulled up onto the driveway in front of Christine's house. She came out of the front door as sonn as she heard the car. I changed seats and sat now in the back, so I could talk to her better. Christine greeted us and made herself comfortable in the backseat. The drive to school was rather boring while the sky got a bit darker, which means it will rain very soon.

The schoolbuilding came into view way too soon. I don't hate school but I just didn't want to listen to the teachers. Today are the most boring lessons of the whole week. Perfect for me. Bored and annoyed. At least someone of my best friends is always in one of my classes, which makes the day more toleratable.

After school (because I'm lazy)

The teachers told the students that buses will arrive any minute. After they said what we're going to do at the campsite I started to actually feel excited. Jonas and Christine seemed to be thrilled as well, which made me happy. The buses arrived and the students filled them in a matter of seconds. The three of us practically raced to the backseats, so that we could sit all together.

At the camping place (just lazy)

We arrived at the campsite a good two hours later. I'm glad that we don't have to sleep in tents but luckily in cottages. More important is that Jonas, Christine and I are allowed to share one, which couldn't be better.

"So students! Today you have time to discover the sourrounding area and take notes of what you can find. If you see something interesting that we could do just write it down and we can discuss this later. Thanks for your attention. Now get your lazy butts up and go explore." One of the teachers, Mr. Harris, said. Probably more commanded. As he wished, we stood up and brought our bags into the cottage.

Afterwards we took a flashlight with us just in case we get lost or it gets dark. We wandered into the forest and looked around for anything interesting. Nobody of us saw anything relevant, so we moved on until we reached a gigantic stone. I didn't dare to climb up, so I just walked around it, when I looked onto the ground and gasped in shock.

I'm back!!! I had a lot of trouble to continue this story but I'll finish it anyhow. In the meantime I began another Story, which is called 'Passion'. Maybe some of you read it some not. I hope if you did read it that you liked it. If not than I don't care. (I deleted 'Passion' for now) So, what did Emily find in the forest? Will it change her life? Is it something good or bad?
