John was sat reading the recipe book, calling out the ingredients to Roger who checked if they had them.

"Flour?"
"Yep."
"Eggs?"
"Yes."
"Butter?"
"Uh huh."
"Cocoa powder?"
"Yeseroni!"
"Milk?"
"Yeah"
"Baking powder?"
"Sure do."
"Vanilla extract?"
"You know it."
"Caster sugar?"
"Yah yah yah. Ooo yes we doooo-"
"Roger shut up!"
"Sorry."
"And finally chocolate chips?"
"Uummm, one sec- let me just- ughh... got them!" Roger grinned proudly, retreading from the back of the cupboard with a bag of chocolate chips.

"Goon that's everything then." John smiled giving Roger a hand down from the counter he was sitting on.

"Lets cook then!" The blond smiled excitedly.

"Okay, okay calm down. Now get out these things." John chuckled pointing to the list of equipment that was needed.

"Okay babbyyyy." Roger spun off to the other side of their large kitchen searching around in the cupboards.

Roger had been pestering John to bake with him for weeks now, John always saying no- probably because he didn't want the house to burn down. But Roger had finally managed to convince him, and now the drummer was as exited as a small child on Christmas. Or just as exited at himself on Christmas, not very different.

"John! I'm too short, can you please grab the scales!" Roger pouted after many attempts of standing on his tiptoes and extending his arm as for as they would go to reach the top shelf.

"Of course." John smiled smugly as he reached up with ease grabbing the weighing scales.
"So cute." He said tapping Roger in the nose and ruffling up his already messy hair.

"Fuck off." He he grumbled, trying to flatten his hair down.

"Is that everything?" John asked checking the book again.

"Should be." Roger said coming over to his boyfriend and resting his head on the others shoulder, as he held onto his forearm (a habit he had developed over time of being with John).

"Okay let's get cooking then." John smiled turning the angle of his head slightly and kissing Roger on the top of his head.

"Okay first thing we have to do is.. preheat the oven!" Roger read aloud, "you can do that." He grinned at John who rolled his eyes.

"Yeah because if you did it would probably explode."

"Hey! I'm not that dumb." Roger defended himself, as he weighed out the flour.

They weighed out the rest of the ingredients before starting on the actual muffin making.

"Okay sift together the flour, cocoa and baking powder." Roger nodded, picking up the sieve.

"Why do you get to do everything?" John frowned as Roger sifted in the flour.

"Because you didn't even want to cook." Roger shrugged, not looking at john.

"Let me put in the sugar!" John pleaded reaching for the bowl of sugar.

"No! I'm doing that." The blond snatched it away.

"It's rude to snatch Roger!" John yelled, pouting at his smug looking boyfriend.

Roger added in the eggs- which john wanted to do so much.
"Ok Deaks, you can stir whilst I add in the milk.

"That's the worst job!"

"Well at least it's something." Roger smirked passing john the whisk.
