Freddie's POV:
John said he had a date planned out for us tonight but wouldn't tell me what we where doing, no matter how many times I pestered him. He was going to pick me up at 10pm and it was 9:15 at the moment so I had plenty of time to get ready. I didn't really know how to dress up, since I didn't know what we where doing, but he told me casual so I wasn't expecting the Ritz. I pulled on a pair of purposely faded jeans paired with a Mickey Mouse graphic t-shirt, and also my leather jacket. I sprayed some of my cologne, but not too much that you could smell my from a mile away.. like some people (Roger). I brushed my teeth and combed through my newly cut hair. I got bored of the long locks I had grown out and traded them in for a shorter more stylish look. I was very pleased with my new look, and John likes it too, that was just an extra bonus.

I looked at my watch and somehow it was already 9:45, I smiled thinking about what John could have planned for the two of us. He always was a romantic, where I did the most grand gestures, his where small and meaningful making them just as or even more romantic than mine.

I soon got bored of just sitting alone in my room, getting so fidgety anticipation. I went down stairs into my small living room and sat with Jerry on the sofa, lightly petting his tiny head with my fingers, his soft purrs filling the room. It wasn't much of a room, a but dull to my dismay, the same with the rest of the rooms in my flat. I wanted to redecorate, but it seemed a waste seeing as I was hoping to move out of the dingy place as soon as I got the opportunity.

I continued to stroke Jerry as he repositioned himself onto my lap, "I wonder what he has planned, my darling." I whispered in a soft tone to Jerry, I often spoke to my cats, what owner didn't? He only replied with more purrs as expected, "maybe a picnic, that would be nice.." I wondered, before my thoughts pausing at the sound of a knock at the door.

I slowly took Jerry off my lap, causing him to let out a small meow in protest, and skipped over to the door. I quickly checked my appearance in the small mirror that hung on the wall next to the door, before opening it to reveal my sweet boyfriend holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a cheesy smile.

"John!" I smiled pulling him into a hug, the contact instantly sending tingles right through me.

"Hey babe, I got you these." He smiled holding out the flowers, I took them from him admiring their beauty.

"Ah they are beautiful, my favourite as well." I smiled lightly touching the soft yellow petals of one of the roses.

"Of course, only the best for you." He chucked, half sarcastically. "Ready to go then?"

"Yes, let me just put these in a vase." I said tubing back inside and filling a Japanese vase Brian had gifted me with water from the tap and then placing the roses into it.

I hurried back to John who was patiently waiting outside for me and locked up, he smiled at me extending his arm for me to link onto. We walked, arm in arm down to his car that was parked outside the block of flats. We got in and before he started the car I placed my hand on his to get his attention.

He turned his head to me in question of what I wanted, I just leant forward and kissed him, and of course he returned it.

I pulled apart, smirking slightly at the blush that had crept onto Johns cheeks, "so, where are we going?"

"I told you, its a surprise!" John laughed and started the car, driving off to wherever we where going. Since it was late spring venturing into summer, it was only just getting dark, so as we drove I watched the sky drift into it's pretty colours of pinks and oranges until they had sunk down low, only to be seen again at sunrise.

I didn't recognise where we where at all, it was quite remote in these backroads, "is this the part where you murder me?" I joked.

And John just looked over at me with a completely dark, serious expression, before bursting into giggles.
