What Have I Come To?

Janae's POV

Christina's actual wedding was coming up. She and Tyler had been married a year, but they were going to wait to have a real wedding. They met 3 years ago when she came to drop off something for me at work after school. She had corrected him about something and proved him wrong. They were together ever since. He balanced out her wild and crazy. He was so calmed and relax I think he may have even tamed her. She's still herself, but married life and motherhood look good on her. They had a date originally but ended up pushing it back since she got pregnant. We were having a final fitting for her wedding and I was nervous about the dress. I was supposed to walk with Roman, but for obvious reason he backed out. Christina had replaced him with Dom. Strangely enough I had shed Eva's baby weight, but I was nervous since I was showing a little now. I'm still able to hide it with a loose shirt, but this dress is fitted. I'm all for people just chopping it down too I'm fat because I just had a baby. Dom was with us while we tried on dresses. "I love you sis, but this is stressful. I apologize if my wedding felt like this." I laughed.
    "It did not. It was pretty chill. You just have a lot going on, so the dress seems stress inducing. I was chillin with your wedding." Christina laughed.
    "Can one of you zip me up?" I asked. I was looking down and I felt the dress get zipped. "Oh thank God. I would have burst into tears if it didn't zip." I looked in the mirror and saw Dom.      "Hi." He really was attractive.
    "Hi." He smiled.
    "You've been avoiding me PJ?" He asked.
    "No, not at all. I'm trying to figure out who I am now, without a man around." I looked down.
    "Last time I checked Val is a man too, unless he has something to tell me." He laughed.
    "You check?" I smiled.
    "From time to time. We had a torrid affair, real hot and steamy stuff." He joked.
    "I love hot and steamy stuff." Christina peeked in.
    "We know honey. How does this look?" I asked.
    "You look great. Your boobs look scrumptious." Christina pinched one.
    "Thanks love." I laughed.
    "So Val and you?" Dom circled back.
    "Are just friends who happened to smash a few times." Friends that are also having a baby together, but that news is not being broken to here. "He gets bored and wanders over.
    "Oh." He looked down.
    "You're still one of my best friends who I happen to smash." I kissed his cheek.
    "Well I hope there's enough room for me in Janae 2.0's life." He smiled.
    "There's always enough room." I looked down.
    "Wow where's Hailee when you need her. At least she used to make me feel less awkward with Val's crush." Christina teased. "The dress fits perfect. Dom, go sit in the lobby we'll be out in a little bit." He nodded and left. "How does it fit around the belly? You should grow too much in 3 weeks. Do you think you'll be good?"
    "Yeah, I'm good." I smiled.
    "Good because as my matron of honor you have to look and feel your best. I have a question.   You haven't told Dom yet have you?"
    "No, I'm just nervous about it." I said.
    "Because you're feeling him again?"
    "No." I rolled my eyes.
   "Ain't no love like your first love. You have your first love, your epic love, and bad boy love. I say you find yourself first and then explore that, but enjoy being single as much as a mom can." Christina hugged me.
    "Thanks babes." I smiled.
    "Now get out of this dress. I have to go have lunch with my parents." She smiled and unzipped me. I changed and we found Dom in the lobby playing on his phone. Christina hugged him and left. I sat by him. "Want to do lunch, my treat?" He smiled.

   "I'd love to." He stood up and held his hand out to me. I laughed and took it as we went out to his car. We talked until we got to this small little restaurant. We went in and sat in a booth. After ordering our food he leaned back and looked at me. "So you and Val are having a baby, congratulations PJ." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.

   "How did you find out?" I asked.

   "He randomly asked to baby sit Prince. I was like okay; I had some errand to run anyway. When I went to pick him up I saw the sonogram on his counter. I was confused and was like damn way to go Val. He hadn't brought it up and I don't know much about being pregnant, but the baby seemed too developed to be new. I asked him whose baby and he said oh it's mine. I was like congrats. I asked him when the baby was due, he said July. Then it dawn on me. I know Val; he is never involved with more than one woman at a time. For a baby to be due at the end July pretty much in August he had to be with some around the time you were involved with him. I flat our asked him were the two of you having a baby and he said yes. Before you say anything I'm not upset about it." He rested his hand on top of mine.
