Janae's POV
Roman and I were sitting in the living room with me planning Eva's birthday party while Adrian was doing her homework in her room. Eva was standing up hugging Pauly the stuffed dog that was Roman's as a kid. She adored it. Val was chilling on the couch with Tati on his chest. She looked tiny on his chest and she was a chubby baby. Eva could stand on her own now without having to hold on to anything, but she wouldn't walk. She was watching Trolls that I had playing on the TV for her to keep her entertained. She was just babbling and talking to Roman and he was actually engaging with her. I loved watching him with her. Eva sat down then crawled into Roman's lap. "Ma'am you know you have a mommy. I would like if one of my children would love me please!" I laughed.
"I'd love you, but I have to type a report of Romeo and Juliet. How can I politely say that they were just two impulsive and hormonal teenagers who needed better supervision? I mean this play is stupid." Adrian sat by me with her laptop.
"Roman you know a little something about being an impulsive and hormonal teenage right? I mean I could be wrong. Let me just sit her next to our 14 year old daughter. I could be wrong though." Alessia stuck her tongue out at him.
"You approached me. I was innocent and pure." Roman laughed. We had all sat and talked about how since we were one big blended family we should at least try to normalize us all spending time together as one. It had been working beautifully. "What is your report about though my love." I asked.
"Okay, so we finished Romeo and Juliet and we have to choose something to critique about the play. My partner and I chose them killing themselves in the name of love. She's arguing that it is a true act of love no matter how young and I'm arguing that their idiots and it was lust. That makes no since." Adrian rolled her eyes.
"You know what your dad told me? He said that I was only his forever until our dying breaths. We were only together for like 6 or 7 months then." I told Adrian.
"Well he's crazy. He would have stabbed himself for you." She laughed.
"I am not that dramatic." Roman looked up from his laptop.
"Yes you are!" I tossed a pillow at him.
"I would at least check if she was breathing first. He just seen her not moving and was like welp guess I have to die! Also I'm damn near 30 I would think it through briefly." Roman laughed. "He was like 17?"
"Juliet was like 13. At 13 I was with him. The level of asshole he was would have been like damn that crazy while holding Curly by her ankle upside down." Alessia and I were dying.
"No, he would have handed her to Dre to hold. Roman used to avoid babies like the plague. I swear this man believed if he held one he would get one." I was laughing really hard.
"Did he ever tell you about the baby shower we went to?" Val asked.
"No." Roman shook his head laughing.
"Tell us!" Adrian grinned.
"Well a friend of ours was having a kid. We were all like 20 at the time. He invited us and we agreed that we would go all of us. Dre, Leo, and Roman. I don't think this man realized that baby showers are nothing like the parties he usually went to. The entire time he pelted condoms at our friend and asked why we have to celebrate your mistake. Long story short we were asked to leave." Val laughed.
"Everyone knew I had no business there!" Roman laughed causing Eva to laugh too.
"Now look at him. This macho man is now goddamn Barney!" Alessia shook her head.
