Adrian's POV
We walked into my Nonno's house. Roman was carrying Eva, when we went into the kitchen. Nonna looked up and smiled at us. "Oh my granddaughters are so damn cute! My sweet boy." She kissed Roman's cheek.
"Hi momma." He smiled. She took Eva and started smothering her with kisses. I looked at Roman and he was in a button down wearing the tie I picked out for him. "Look mom my daughters got me a tie." He smiled.
"Oh, the first of many." She teased.
"Hey Nonna!" I heard Zariah yell as she walked in the kitchen.
"Hi everyone." Athena followed behind.
"I'm missing a granddaughter and a son." Nonna hugged Zariah and I.
"Missy here needed her butt changed. Hi mom, hi Adrian, hi little Eva, and hello there little brother." Uncle Gianni went around and kissed all of our heads including Roman's.
"I see what our girls did. The jerseys are cute." My mom laughed. We heard the front door shut and the sound of heels coming toward the kitchen. Aunt Nadia walked in with Vic on her hip. He was babbling. "Hi everybody. Happy Father's day Roman and Gianni." She handed Vic over to Roman. "He wants to crawl around."
"Daddy's Boy, Angelo number one." Roman smiled.
"Yeah, we spent all morning with Angelo. He was holding on to the marble and bouncing. His favorite word now is dada thanks to Prince." She smiled.
"Is your brother coming over for lunch? I texted him." Nonna said and I saw Roman's eye twitch. "Never mind he told me he was going to his mom."
"Yeah, where's Nick? I have his present." Nadia asked.
"He is in the family room. All of you go and hang out in there. Nadia and Athena you two help me in the kitchen. Janae came by this morning, but I sent her home. She had a headache. I sent her to go rest. Now go to the family room. Let the babies play and you guys have fun." She ushered all of us out. I took Eva from here and we walked into the living room. I set Eva on the floor. She pouted for a second and just looked at me. She hated being on the floor and being forced to crawl. She stuck her bottom lip out and looked at Roman. "No, you aren't getting picked up." Roman smiled while playing with Vic. She crawled over to Gianni and he smiled at her. He shook his head no while bouncing Artemis on his knee. "My beautiful granddaughters and my handsome little grandson, this is the simple life that I heard about." He smiled.
"Says the man who says retirement is for the average man." We all looked over at the doorway and Aunt Bella was there. "I'll rest when I'm dead."
"Well my grandchildren hoard has grown. I like just being Nonno." He smiled.
"Hey, I was first." Zariah rolled her eyes.
"Yes, you were honey." He kissed cheek. Eva made her way to him and pulled herself up on his knee. I heard Roman say don't, but watched him pick Eva up anyway. I looked over and saw his jaw tense up. I cleared my throat and Roman looked over at me. Zariah nudged me and I nodded. I went over and sat by Gianni. "Hey Uncle Gianni, are you having a good Father's Day?" I smiled.
"Uncle Roman you look mighty dapper in your new tie!" Zariah sat by him.
"No." He smiled at us.
"How did that feel?" Gianni laughed
"It felt great. I felt powerful." Roman smiled forgetting his anger towards Nonno.
"Good, I'm proud."
"Old men!" I rolled my eyes"Teenagers." Roman said.
"I like this dad attitude you have." Gianni laughed at Roman.
"Personally not fan." Zariah crossed her arms.
