QUENTIN BECK
Present traveling to the pastPeter paced back and forth in front of me with an endearing scowl across his face. I could never take him seriously when he was angry because he had a baby face. He was too cute.
"What are we going to do?" He ranted and threw his arms in the air in exasperation, "Nobody knows where he is!"
The unnamed man dropped us off about a twenty minute walk from Stark Towers since it was a little bit out of his way. Peter and I were standing in front of the building now as I tried to suppress the grin on my face caused by the small scene he was making.
"Are you smiling right now?" Peter accused me in an I can't believe you right now tone of voice.
"No." I coughed, "I'm, um. I'm thinking."
"And thinking about how we're going to save the entire New York City, all of the people we care about and Mr Stark when we have literally no options requires you to smile?" He crossed his arms and I kissed his nose.
"Yes."
He shoved me away from him and started walking in the opposite direction, "You're unbelievable." He sighed as I jogged to catch up with him. He was in such a bad mood today but of course I still couldn't help but find it adorable.
"I'm just teasing you. I have a plan. And retaliating off of what you said, the only person I'm worrying about keeping safe is you. Screw everyone else." I grabbed the back of his shirt collar and he scoffed.
"What's your plan?" He asked and focused his attention back on me.
I leaned forward and brushed my thumb over his bottom lip, "Do you know Obadiah Stane?" He shook his head and looked up at me with those curious, wide eyes of his that looked like honey in the sunlight and I felt myself getting a bit distracted.
"It's 2009... I think I was like six years old back then." He mumbled and I couldn't help but run my fingers through his messy hair.
"He was Tony's business partner. He hired Shadow to kill him so that he could take over, but once Shadow had him he decided that with Tony's brains that he could built a missile for them. And that's how he first became Ironman." I explained while Peter stared right into my eyes, delved into the story, "That's what he was doing for those three months. While they thought he was building the missile he instead built the Ironman suit and escaped, but he killed a bunch of Shadow's men in the process. When he got back, Obadiah was furious especially because Tony wanted to shut down the weapons industry. He had seen the people who took him into captivity using his weapons and it made him want to stop. So Obadiah tried to kill him but Tony won. But Obadiah went back and killed all of Shadow's men that were left out of rage before that."
"That's horrible!" Peter exclaimed, "Did they hurt Mr Stark when he was there?"
They did but only when he refused to cooperate. But I decided against telling him that by the concerned look on his face and shook my head no as he sighed in relief and pressed his face into my chest. He was so clingy when he was sad or upset and I loved it.
"Hey, how do you know all this?" He questioned suddenly and snuggled against me.
"I started working for Tony right before it all happened. Not to mention that after he came back he told everyone about it all the time." I smoothed my hands up and down his back and breathed in deeply. Whenever he was this close to me I was so distracted and wanted just the two of us to run off alone and finally have my way with him.
Calm down, Buddy.
"So if he's in captivity right now how are we going to find him? We still have no idea where it is." He mumbled and held me tighter.
