The Final Goodbye [SEQUEL] (Harry Styles)

Chapter 2

Sarah was sitting on the couch with James who was focused on the cartoons playing on the tv. Emily and Darcy had gone shopping with some friends, and Adam was over at the neighbors house playing with their grandson.

James was laying down on the couch and she was sitting at the end texting Danielle. Her phone lit up and she saw Harry's contact pop up on the screen.

"Hey!" She smiled even though he couldn't see her.

"Hey." He sounded upset.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, it's just Simon keeps yelling at me and everyone is telling me what to do like I have no clue what I'm doing." She could tell by the tone of his voice he was getting angry.

"I'm sure their just trying to help Harry."

"Is that daddy?" James took his attention away from the tv.

"Let me talk to James for a minute."

She handed James her phone and he smiled.

"Hi daddy!"

They talked for a few minutes and then James gave her back the phone.

"I have to go get Adam, I'll text you later okay?"

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you more." She joked.

"No I love you more." She heard him laugh.

"Fine you win." She hit the end call button and stood up, putting it in her sweatshirt pocket.

"I'll be right back, stay here." James nodded and she walked out into the cold biting air.

She knocked on The Miller's door. Mrs. Miller answered and she smiled at her before allowing her to come inside.

Mrs. Miller took her into her grandson Ryan's room. Adam and Ryan were sitting on a brightly colored carpet in the middle of the floor playing with Ryan's toys.

"Time to go home Adam."

"I don't want to." He pouted.

"I'll make you some hot chocolate." She wiggled her eyebrows.

Adam was to the door in a matter of seconds. She thanked Mrs. Miller and took Adam home. She made him and James hot chocolate then they all watched more cartoons.

About an hour later Sarah had the familiar feeling of a headache coming on. It had been happening for about two weeks now. Every few days she would get a headache. She stood up to get some Advil and popped three in her mouth then walked back to the couch.

"Can we play with Rosy?" James pleaded.

She sighed and went to get her. When she reached the big cage she looked through and saw that the now thirteen year old Rosy was laying down sleeping. The only movement of her frail body was her slow breathing.

"Rosy?" She singsonged.

Her ears perked up and she lifted her head and her little stumpy tail started wiggling back and forth. Even though she was old she still did her best to act like she wasn't.

Sarah picked her up and carried her to the couch where James and Adam were already sitting on the floor.

"Be careful with her." She said sternly. "She's old and fragile."

"Okay." They said in unison.

Rosy walked over to them and they started petting her. She layed down on her back and James laughed and started rubbing her tummy.

Sarah took out her phone and took a picture and sent it to Harry.

Sarah: :) (Picture)

Harry didn't reply until two hour later.

Harry: aww! I wish I was there:(

Sarah: Don't worry you're not missing anything. It's boring here without you

Harry didn't reply so she put her phone on the table beside her and watched the kids play with Rosy. When Rosy started coughing Sarah decided to put her back in her cage. Rosy went right back to sleep.

About an hour later the doorbel rang and Sarah ran to greet Susane.

"Hey! Come in."

"Wow! This is beautiful." Susane looked around at the two story house.

"Come on I'll show you the guest bedroom." Sarah smiled.

Susane put her stuff down and then they went into the kitchen and talked. Susane had gotten engaged to a guy named Jack Rivers. Susane showed her a picture and he was pretty good looking, but Harry was better.

Sarah went around to sit a the table, but when she sat down she felt a pain right below her stomach. She winced and massaged it with her hand.

"Are you okay?" Susane raised an eyebrow.

"Fine." Sarah forced a smile.

"It's probably something I ate."

Unfortantely Susane was a nurse and didn't buy it.

"Has anything else weird happened to you lately?"

She knew it was no use to lie so she told Susane everything.

"I've been getting headaches a lot, and I'm losing weight like crazy, but I'm still not hungry, and I keep getting colds."

Susane's froze then relaxed. "Sarah, I think you need to go to the doctor."

"I'm fine Susane."

"Sarah, when a nurse tells you you need to go to the doctor you go."

"Fine, I'll go this weekend."

"Okay I'm leaving Thursday so call me and tell me what they say."

"Okay now stop worrying, I'm sure I'm fine it's probably just like a sinus infection or something."

"I hope your right." Susane muttered.

So this was a pretty uneventful chapter,  but I needed some foreshadowing for the next chapter...
