Crowley thundered around his apartment, like he had for the past 2 weeks. He felt betrayed that Aziraphale could hide something like that from him. His plants were even more scared of  him from his 2 week reign of terror. He slammed his fist down onto his desk and shouted "Why can't he just tell me these things!" Crowley was unimaginably furious with Aziraphale, he gazed into the corner of the room and saw his shelf of books. He softened, they were gathering a layer of dust, the angel hadn't been at his home in so long.

Crowley sighed, what had he done, he had flipped out at Aziraphale when he told him something that was probably hard enough. How could Aziraphale have the courage he did Crowley wondered. The demon often felt self conscious, somehow he never got around to telling Aziraphale, he was scared it would cause a rift between them -now this had. He was still a little mad but more than anything he missed the angel, he grabbed his keys and exited the apartment grumbling as he did, hopping down the stairs 2 by 2,he just needee to see Aziraphale. To tell the angel he was sorry, and that he was wrong.

He reached the Bentley and hopped in,he pulled the door shut as he sank into the seat but, he didn't turn on the radio.  He didn't think he deserved to after what he had said and done. Two weeks without Aziraphale felt like forever and the demon couldn't stand another minute. He drove silently other than the occasional beep oh his horn. Crowley huffed as a pedestrian screamed and ran out of the way of the speeding Bentley "good choice" he mumbled.

Crowley pulled up outside the shop, got out and locked the Bentley. As he stepped onto the pavement he heard shouting coming from the bookshop, he struggled to identify the voice and then it clicked "Gabriel" he muttered and surprisingly he could hear Aziraphale shouting back. That was it. No matter the rows they had nobody messed with Aziraphale.

He pushed the bookshop door open, as he entered he saw Gabriel shouting at Aziraphale, who was standing his ground shouting back. "I'm all you've got now!" Gabriel roared, Aziraphale mumbled something. Neither of them had noticed Crowley. "You have to know your place Aziraphale!, this, bookshop owning, sinning, demon marrying charade has gone on long enough!" Gabriels tone had lowered and he grinned smugly, he sensed Crowley's presence though he didn't mention it. "Aziraphale, stand up straight" he ordered. Aziraphale refused, "no." He said simply making Crowley grin.

"Aziraphale Zachary Michael! You are the son of an archangel, you will know your place and follow orders!" Gabriel growled harshly. Crowley was stunned, what was Aziraphales name? And did he just say the son of an archangel? No no way. Crowley had heard enough, "Gabriel shut your mouth and get out" He shouted cockily.

Aziraphale glanced up at Crowley and smiled, damn his forgiving nature, Crowley knew by that smile the angel had already forgiven him. "Actually, his name is Aziraphale, Crowley" he waved his ring at Gabriel to patronise him and it worked. "Crowley, a.. Pleasure as always" Gabriel said a hint if disgust in his voice.

"Same to you, hey Gabriel I'm not buying this son of an archangel thing, who's son is he hm uriels? Sandalphons?  Huh" Gabriel smirked "Mine". Crowley stopped in his tracks he didnt think if that as a possibility. "Aziraphale?" He asked and the angel only nodded sadly and looked down to Gabriels delight. Crowleys brain was going a million miles an hour.

Aziraphale his, beautiful, funny, smart, bubbly, angel was Gabriel, that evil, nasty, disgusting, twisted, spiteful, archangels son. He couldn't believe it.

Aziraphale was distraught, Crowley was back and now he had found out this. "You will be coming back to heaven next week, get all of this packed up" he gestured around the shop and Crowley finally noticed the layer of dust coating everything, even Aziraphales most precious books had been neglected. Unlike the angel, Crowley's heart sank, he knew that was his fault. Aziraphale felt so alone, he knew by Crowley's reaction he would probably just leave him again, after all the stuff Gabriel had done, he doubted Crowley would want to be married to a direct relative of his. So Aziraphale glanced at Crowley and then back to Gabriel and nodded and whispered with tears in his eyes "okay" his voice cracked as he spoke and tears started flowing, Gabriel smirked triumphantly "good, remember what i taught you Aziraphale". Aziraphale didn't look up as he felt his heart crack a bit, and tears streaked his cheeks "angels choose their work over anything else. Gabriel".  He nodded and walked out.

After he left Aziraphale sunk to the floor onto his knees and sobbed, he brought his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them as the sobs racked his body. He didn't notice Crowley sit down next to him also on his knees. Then the demon pulled the angel closer to him and wrapped his arms around him. Crowley had tears in his reptilian eyes as he encased the angel in his grip. "I love you angel, I'm so so sorry if I'd have known I wouldn't have left I was shocked. I will never let him near you again, I promise you I will lay down my life for you". Crowley didn't notice the tears spilling over his eyes as he squeezed the angel gently and played with his curls. "I love you too dear" Aziraphale whispered back.
