Aziraphale was starting to brighten up again after the "jack ordeal", he was smiling more, laughing and waa beginning to hug Crowley more often. He was still a little unsure about holding the demons hand but Crowley loving the angel so much meant he was willing to wait and be patient. He hadn't seen any sign of Jack and he was glad.

Crowley was just walking into the bookshop after a day of tempting humans and causing havoc. "Hey angel" he called out, Aziraphale appeared at the doorway "hello dear, how was work". Crowley grinned at the return of Aziraphales phrases like: dear. "It was great angel" Crowley was about to kiss the angels forehead but thought better of it as he stepped forward and instead just pressed their foreheads together gently.

Aziraphale smiled as he caught on to what the demon was going to do but didn't. "Thank you, Crowley" he said sincerely "for all of this, being patient, loving me and just being here". Crowley grinned back at him "I always will angel". Aziraphale nodded and went to sit at the table with his book. Crowley was leaning against the doorframe watching the angel. He loved how peaceful Aziraphale looked when he was reading. Every now and then Aziraphale would glance up over the book and catch Crowleys gaze. He chuckled "dear, you don't have to watch over me I'm perfectly fine".

Crowley paused he knew he had been hanging around the angel way too much. In fact he had to admit, he was scared, scared if he left him alone too long something else would happen.
"I.. I don't want to leave you... For long... Because.... I'm scared someone else will hurt you and I won't be there to help you".  Crowley was blushing a deep pink by now and Aziraphale had a soft gentle smile on his face. He stood up and walked to Crowley "dear, things happen. You can't be here constantly".  Crowley nodded and looked out the window, avoiding Aziraphales gaze, he hated admitting his true feelings.

Aziraphale touched the demons chin gently and directed his head to look at him. "I love you" was all he said but to Crowley it meant the world. "Love you too angel".

Crowley went and sat on the sofa, daydreaming about him and Aziraphale. He was snapped out of his thoughts about an hour later by the sound of post being delivered. Aziraphale sighed and stood up. "I'll get it dear". Crowley nodded and tilted his head back again and yawned. He saw Aziraphale go to the front door out of the corner of his eye.

Crowley heard the sound of a letter opening, "oh..." Aziraphale sounded heartbroken and Crowley jumped up as fast as he could and sprinted to the door where the angel was stood. "Angel?" Aziraphale didn't even twitch,  he seemed frozen. "Angel?" He still didn't move. "Aziraphale?" A tear slipped down the angels cheek. Crowley felt worry flood through his veins as he gently took the letter from the angels grip. He read it slowly, trying to find the cause of his Angels distress.

Aziraphale:

Trust me what happened isn't over
The minute your precious demon leaves. I'll be back.

-Jack

Crowley felt his free hand curl into a  fist at his side. He stepped back from Aziraphale and summoned hellfire in his hand. The letter burnt instantly pieces of charred paper flying through the air. Aziraphale looked at Crowley with tears in his eyes as the flames disappeared. Crowley scooped the angel up in his arms as Aziraphale held onto his jacket and sobbed into his shirt. "I got you angel, trust me I wont let him get anywhere near you ever again". Aziraphale nodded into his chest, Crowley placed him back on his feet gently. "Angel? Fancy some crepes" he said warmly. He knew Aziraphale would perk up at the mention of the dessert and he did a small amount. "Okay.. Eternity?"
"Eternity angel".
