diary entry 6 - Seungmin
Photography is such a private thing I don't think I've ever invited someone close to my while I was taking pictures. It was weird letting him join me.
Except it wasn't weird because it was uncomfortable it was weird because it was comfortable. It was natural. He was so respectful and quiet and completely in awe. It made me realize that people see and appreciate the pictures I take.
I'd never thought about that before.
See photography, like writing, is a way I can quiet the constant tidal wave of thoughts in my brain. It's all consuming, to control the photo and all of the components. I can spend hours finding the right camera and the background and the right angle. It's calming.
I never cognitively realized that people were seeing it. I definitely didn't want people to see the process.
I think I like that he saw it.
