Chapter 25

{Nicole's pov}

I stepped around the corner and saw Hayden he had his back turned so he didn't see me right away. He was talking to a girl.

"Hayden what are you doing here?" I snapped

"Ah just the girl I was looking for." he said as he put his hand on my shoulder

"Don't you dare touch me!"

"You should be in prison."

"Well Nicole things change." once he said that I turned my head away so I wasn't looking at him anymore.

"So Nicole,I heard about your daughter." he said as he chuckled

After he said that I knew, I shouldn't have known right when I saw him: he has Emily. I started to walk away when Hayden grabbed my wrist. I knew I wouldn't get out of this because he was stronger than me so I kicked him where the sun don't shine and ran away.

I had the keys to the car in my purse I pulled them out and drove home quickly without telling Cody.

Once I arrived home I unlocked the front door as at as I could. Once I was in I went to the place where Cody kept the gun. It was in a safe in the back of are closet. It had a code and I had no idea what it was. So I guessed the day we first met: I was right. I pulled out the gun and some bullets and shut the door.

I got back into the car and drove back to the church to see if Hayden was still there. He was getting into his car. I followed him.

{Cody's pov}

I looked everywhere for Nicole then I saw are car wasn't there.

"Great." I mumbled

I turned my head and saw are car pull up I was walking up to it then she pulled away. I was there alone my family left this morning so I had no ride home. I walked.

When I was walking home I decided to call Nicole.

"Hello?."

"Nicole where are you?"

"I'm finding are daughter."

"Where are you?"

"Hayden has her." then the line went dead

I ran home.

"When I got home I went up to are closet to change,then I noticed my clothes moved to get to the safe.

I opened it up and the gun was gone.

"Shoot!" I shouted

{Nicole's pov}

I followed Hayden for 30 minutes then he pulled into a motel. I parked a few spots away from where he parked. When I saw him get out of the car I got out.

"Hayden you better give me back my daughter." I said as I pointed the gun at him.

"Woah,Nicole put the gun down."

"Not until I get my daughter back."

"Nicole just put it down."

"Give me my daughter BACK!" I shouted

"Okay,okay."

He led me up to his room. As I approached it I heard Emily's cry.

"Why would you do this Hayden?" I said beginning to cry

He opened the door...

"Christine GO take the keys and GO." He threw the keys and I shot him in the leg. Christine was already in the car.

{Cody's pov}

I have to call the police.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"My wife has a gun and I think she found are daughter."

"What's your address?"

"311 wood drive."

"Police will be there soon."

After I hung up with them I called Nicole.

"Hello?" she answered

"Nicole where are you?"

"Hayden and Christine have her I'm following Christine right now but I just shot Hayden in the leg." She was crying

"What road are you on?" then I heard the door bell ring. I answered it was the police.

"I'm on vine road."

"She's on vine road." I shouted. we all ran out the door and into are cars.

I followed the cops. They stopped when they saw two cars pulled over by a bridge.

I got out and the cops tried to hold me back but I got out of there grip. I saw Nicole and I ran up to her.

"Nicole put the gun down."

She turned around and dropped the gun.

"Where is Christine?"

"I don't know I lost her."

The cops came running by us.

"We found her!" they shouted. we ran that way

She was going to jump off the bridge and end her life with our little girl in hand.

"Christine please don't do this." Nicole said flatly

"I'm sorry but I have to."

"No you don't neither you or are daughter deserve to die."

"I did something bad now I have to pay for it."

"Not with are little girl." after I said that she jumped

"NOOO." Nicole yelled crying into my chest

"We found the girl in the car!" the detective shouted

"What?"

"She's in the car."

She ran out of my arms and to the car. I saw her pick her up out of the car and fall to her knees crying. Then I ran over,got on my knees and put my arms around them.
