Chapter 28

{Cody's pov}

"Cody are you ok in there?" I heard Nicole shout interrupting my thoughts

"Yeah I'm fine." I said opening the door

"Well, I'm going to take Emily on a walk she just woke up."

"Alright."

I leaned down and have her a kiss. Then he got Emily read in her stroller and walked out.

Just as I was starting to sit down on the couch my phone rang. I got up and walked into the kitchen.

"Hello?"

"So, you know Christine?"

"Who is this?"

"That's none of your business now answer the question."

"Yeah I know her why?"

"We are good friends and she killed herself."

"She is still alive."

"Oh, you didn't hear?"

"No."

"Tonight at midnight meet me at the graveyard. Come to the truck."

"No for all I know your gonna kill me."

"Do it if you know what good for your family!" he shouted into the phone. then the line went dead.

"Shoot!" I yelled as I threw my phone

It was 11:45 I woke myself up. I got quietly to not wake up Nicole. I slipped on sweatpants and a long sleeve T-shirt. then I was out the door.

I got to the graveyard 5 minutes later I got up to the white truck. When I got out of the car I noticed the grave stone: Christine Brecht.

"Oh jeez." I mumbled

"Yeah it hurts." A person in all black with a mask on days coming out from behind there car.

"You made her do this!" he pointed at me shouting

"She knew she did wrong, she took my daughter. She killed herself we had nothing to do with it."

"Your gonna pay." he said lifting up his sweatshirt and pulling out a gun from his waistband.

"No,no,no. there's no need."

"She's dead!"

After he said that I clenched my fist and punched him in the face. I quickly got in my car and drove off hearing shots being fired trying I hit my car but they didn't.

I arrived home I parked in the garage so if he drove by he wouldn't know we lived here.

I waked in to see Nicole in the kitchen getting water.

"Where were you?"

"We are in danger again."
