Emily on the side

My mom picked up Emily an spun her around.

"So how long door you think you will be here for?" My mom asked

"I really don't know. Until I find another house."

"Another house?!"

"Mom I can't live in the one we are in right now! Everyone knows where we live, literally."

"Well Nicole it's almost Christmas and you don't want Emily to spend it without her dad."

Before I could reply I heard Emily's loud screams.

"Why wrong baby girl."

"The doggy stepped on my foot." she said pointing, I looked down at her foot and saw a tiny little scratch.

"Does it hurt?"

"No." she said giggling

"You goofball." I said while picking her up.

"Are you hungry?"

"Yea!" She shouted

"What do you want?"

"Mac-and-cheese!"

"Alright that's easy."

I set her down in a chair and started the water.

"I'm getting in the shower." my mom shouted.

"Okay."

I dumped the noodles in and then the cheese and started stirring it.

"I want daddy!" Emily screamed

"Emily Rose indoor voices." I said back

"But I want daddy!"

"I know baby." I said as I set the Mac-and-Cheese down. Emily took the spoon and basically shoved the food down her throat.

"Emily slow down or your gonna throw up." I then heard a knock at the door.

"Don't make a mess I'll be back."

I opened the door.

"I knew you would be here." Cody said while hugging me

"You came?"

"Of course I did." I then ward little feet run up to the door

"Daddy!"

"Hello baby girl, I missed you." Cody said as he picked her up
