I gripped the knife more making my knuckles turn white.

"Get away from her." I stated strongly. The figure turned around slowly.

"If I don't what are you going to do about it? Huh?"

"I will use this knife."

After I said that he made a run for Emily's window. He jumped through the glass and I heard him grunt when he hit the ground.

I ran to the window to see he was gone.

"Give me your phone."

"Here." Jill said as she tossed it to me. I called the cops then I called Cody.

They both arrived quickly.

"Are you guys okay?" Cody asked while hugging me

"Yeah we are fine just a little shook up."

Detective Hail came over to us.

"This is starting to get ridiculous."

"How do you think there are after us?"

"There has to be a couple more." Detective Hail stated

"We will leave a cop car outside your house tonight, you guys have a good rest of your evening."

"Thanks Detective Hail." Cody said while shaking his hand.

Everyone left.

"Cody what are we gonna do?"

"Play it by year?"

"No, I will not stay in this house knowing that random people will sneak in without us knowing and taking Emily again."

"That's not gonna happen."

"Cody you don't know that. You know what I'm staying at a hotel, I'll ask Victoria to come with me."

"No don't do that."

"Yes I'm going to I can't live here anymore."

I was mad.

I got Victoria to come with Emily and I to a hotel in town.

We got are room and relaxed.

"So what's happening between you and Cody?"
