"So what's going on with you and Cody?" Victoria asked

"I really don't know, he wants to stay at the house and he says he will protect us but what just happened he wasn't there. What if it happens again while I'm home alone with Emily?"

"Give him a chance."

"Of course I will for the sake of Emily and for the commitment I made on are wedding day; there is no way I'm ending this marriage, I love him too much."

"That's good to know."

"I'm really exhausted, I'm going I lay down and get some rest." I say and then Emily starts crying.

"I got her." Victoria stated

"Thanks."

I went into the bathroom and changed real quickly and then hopped into bed, rested my head on the pillow, and let sleep fill my eyes.

I woke up to a loud banging coming from the other side of the hotel room door. I turn to look at the clock and it reads: 1:05am.

"Who could be here at this time of night?" I mumbled.

I was hoping Victoria would get up and get it but she was peacefully asleep like I should be right now.

I got up and walked over to the door to look out the peep-hole to see Cody standing there anxious for the door to open. I opened it.

"What are you doing here?"

"I should be asking that question; what are you doing here?"

"Like I want to be in that house." I said as I moved my body over telling Cody to come in. I put my index finger to my lips telling him to be quiet.

"I should have been there."

"You think?" I said sarcastically

"I'm a bad husband and father."

"Hey, no your not Emily loves you so much, whenever you walk into the room her face lights up."

"Do you love me?" He asked

"Of course I do I just need some time alone to think about things."

"Think about what?"

"About uh us."
