I was upset about the window shattering and knowing that another person is after us.

"Nicole?"

"What?"

"I know your frustrated with everything going on so Zach and I are going out to eat, Victoria is going to the mall, and I'm taking Emily to my parents."

"So I get alone time?"

"Yea, so we are all heading out now. love you." Cody said as he kissed my forehead

"Love you too." then he walked out and I heard the front door close

I spent 4 hours in my room watching lifetime movies. Then I got lonely so I texted Cody.

To Cody:
When are you guys coming home?

From Cody:
I love you

To Cody:

That was random but love you too.

Then my phone rang the caller ID said: Zach

"Hello?"

"Hey it's me, I left my phone at home so I called to check up on you, on Zach's phone."

"Wait you left your phone here?"

"Yeah in the kitchen."

I got off my bed slowly and shut my bedroom door and locked it.

"Cody someone is in the house get back now!" I whispered

"Hello? Cody?"

"No don't die now. where's my charger?" I whispered to myself.

"Shoot its down stairs and I have no home phone up here."

Are bedroom window wasn't that far up so I undid the screen and jumped as quietly but as quickly as I could.

Once I got out I made a run for the front of the house. When I got to the front I saw Cody's moms car. She was in the front seat.

"Oh I'm glad it's you." I said knocking on her window

"Oh hey Nicole."

"You scared me when you texted me from Cody's phone your funny." I said sarcastically

"What do you mean?"

"You texted me from Cody's phone."

"No I didn't just a few seconds ago I ran in saw you were sleeping and put Emily in her crib."

"WHAT! I wasn't sleeping. and there is someone in the house."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN."

"someone texted me from Cody's phone and he's put fishing I was home alone he left his phone here."

"We have to get Emily."

Cody's mom got out of her act and ran up to the front door with me.

"Open it slowly." she spoke in my ear

I opened it up and thank god are door wasn't one of those squeaky ones. Once we got in there was no one in sight. I walked slowly to the kitchen seeing no one there; I grabbed a knife.

I walked up stairs with Jill clinging onto my arm.

We got to Emily's room and saw a body hovering over her crib.
