Chapter 24

{Nicole's pov}

"I'm going to stay at Zach's and Victoria's place for a little." I stated

"Why?"

"I need some time."

"Time for what, I'm your husband and are child is missing and you want to stay at Victoria's place?" he paused for a minute

"We both need to be with each other right now."

"I'm sorry Cody." I said with tears in my eyes

I started to walk out the door when I heard Cody say...

"Don't do this Nicole."

I turned around and looked at him for a split second then I put my head down and walked out. As I was walking down the steps to the porch I heard a loud noise knowing Cody probably hit the door as hard as he could.

{Cody's pov}

When she walked out I was mad so I walked up to the door and hit it as hard as I could then leaned my back against the door and slid down so I was sitting on the floor.

I got up of the ground, picked up my phone, and dialed my dads number.

"Hello?" my dad answered

"Dad, Nicole just walked out on me and I need someone hear right now." I said as I started crying

"We will be there soon."

I sat on the couch and waited. I didn't do anything but stare at a wall for about 2 and a half hours. Then I heard a knock on the door, I got up right away and answered it, it was my family.

I immediately engulfed my dad in a hug and started balling my eyes out.

"It's going k be okay Cody, we are going to find Emily and you are going to get Nicole back." My dad stated with tears in his eyes

{Nicole's pov}

Victoria knew I was coming so I walked right into there house.

"Hello?"

"Nicole our hear." she said as she came up and gave me a hug

"I dot know what to do anymore."

"We will find her."

"Promise?" Victoria didn't say anything back

"Nicole, I can't promise you that we will find her but you know what we are going to try are hardest."

She showed me up to the room I was going to stay in. Once we got there I ploped down on the bed and took a nap.

I woke up and thought about what time I first fell asleep:6:30. I looked at the clock and it was 2:30. I got up and went to the bathroom then came back and say at the end of my bed.

"Cody was right." I spoke out to myself

I should be with him right now not here. I grabbed my things and went down the stairs, left a note in the kitchen, then got in my car and drove home.

I got home 20 minutes later and sat there parked in the driveway for 10 minutes.

I finally got out and saw that Cody's parents were here. I walked through the front door and walked right up to Emily's room.

"We are going to find you baby girl." I said to no one

I must have been loud cause Body walked in a wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I'm so sorry Cody."

"It's okay button."

"We are going to find Emily" I stated

We walked back to are room and fell right to sleep.

I woke up to my phone vibrating: it was a Facebook message. I looked at the clock and it was 9:30 on a Sunday morning.Cody came out of the bathroom and sat down on my side of the bed.

"I was wondering if you wanted I go to church today."

"I would love too."

I got up and got ready for church. Once I was done I walked downstairs and saw breakfast on the table.

"Who made this?"

"I did." Cody said

We all sat down at the table and put food on are plates and started eating. Once we were down we were in the car on the way to the church.

We got there,walked in,and took are seats. Church lasted for about a hour. We walked out and Cody and I talked to the priest. We were about 5 minutes into the conversation when I saw long,greasy blonde hair.

I walked over there without saying anything and sure enough it was Hayden.
