Chapter Twenty-Four

Do Doo Doooo. I sat upright rubbing my eyes sleepily, what the fuck was that?! It sounded like a trumpet. Whatever it was, It had just woken me up from an amazing sleep.

‘Who was that?!’ I groaned as I looked at my phone to see what time it was. Holy shit it was 6pm.

‘Morning Camper!’ I heard Demi say from behind me. I turned my head round to see her and Justin standing with huge backpacks on their backs.

I laughed as I stretched and walked over to them. ‘What is all this?’ I shook my head.

‘Well, Justin told me it was your 16th Birthday in like 4 days so we have came up with the most amazing plan’ she grinned. Oh my god, I had completely forgotten about my birthday in all the excitement. Well not that I usually look forward to my birthdays. 13th birthday - I got a pony, fair enough, not that I wanted one but I was thankful. 14th birthday - My parents ruin my party by arguing in front of all my guests. 15th birthday -Mom and Dad confirmed their divorce. So I’m not exactly a fan of birthdays. But hopefully this one would be different.

‘Okaay’ I grinned. ‘whats this amazing plan?’

They both looked at each other and grinned. ‘We’re taking you camping!’ they said at the same time.

I gasped, ‘you guys are taking me camping?’ I grinned.

‘Oh yes we are, we are taking you and a few guests to the luxurious Tranquillity lake resort. Complete with cabins for guests, our site is right next to the lake, full use of pedalos and canoes and so much more .. All of which is suitable for use with a cast on.’ Demi grinned.

My eyes widened and I smiled in excitement. ‘ wow!’

‘and! They have this amazing fire pit!’ Justin said excitedly.

My face dropped, ‘what the fuck is that?’ I said, a little frightened.

They laughed, ‘oh its really just a group sized campfire, with like logs and stuff to sit on but fire pit sounds so much cooler!’ Justin grinned.

‘Don’t scare her!’ Demi said as she pushed Justin lightly.

‘I’m not! It sounds cool!’ he grinned.

‘Guys!’ I shouted over them, ‘I’m gonna go get changed, by the looks of things you’ve got us all packed up so I’ll be down in 5 and we can set off’ I shouted smiling as I hobbled my way up stairs.

I threw on a pair of denim shorts, a grey vest, my red and black checked shirt, my red converse and put my hair up in messy bun. I slid down the banister, where Justin caught me and pulled me up to kiss him.

‘see now we can do it for real’ he grinned as we broke apart.

‘ew get a room’ Demi laughed.

The staff arrived and took all of our stuff down to the car. I climbed in the passenger seat, Justin in the drivers and Demi practically lay along the back seat.

‘I am so excited’ she grinned.

‘me too!’ Justin shouted back to her, reaching his hand behind him and she hive fived him. ‘We make awesome plans’ he laughed as she nodded in agreement.

‘Yeah the birthday girl is pretty excited too!’ I laughed.

We set off.

‘so how long is it gonna take us to get there?!’ I asked excitedly.

‘well according to Miss Lovato, 20 minutes’ he smiled.

Demi and I laughed. I turned around so I was facing her. ‘soooo who’s coming to my birthday camping thing? I mean its no secret that I barely have any friends’ I laughed, ‘so I hope you guys brought out your star filled address books for this one.’ I grinned.
