Chapter Sixty-One

‘guys all this stuff is amazing!’ Justin grinned. They had got us everything we need from cribs and prams to bottles and formula.

‘yeah thank you guys so much!’ I smiled as we walked over and sat ext to them on the bed.

A nurse walked in, ‘Oooh full house!’ she laughed, ‘Justin can I speak to you outside quickly?’ she smiled.

‘Yeah, sure’ he walked out and followed her along the corridor.

‘Right guys, here’s $150 go get some paint and do up the spare room however you want, as you know Lexi came a little early and we didn’t get it done in time. And do it up nice!’ I smiled.

‘well we’ll do it but you’re not paying’ Nick smiled.

‘what?’ I screwed up my face.

‘well we’ve already got all the furniture and we’ll do up her room as a present to her’ Jasmine smiled.

‘Yeah we’ll put our own little twist on it!’ Twist laughed as they all walked out taking all the gifts. I dreaded to think what the room would end up like.

I walked over to the incubator and picked Lexi up, they had dressed her in a tiny little I heart Justin Bieber hoodie, little black leggings, tiny little supra looking socks and a little purple headband that matched the hoodie. I smiled she looked so cute.

She gurgled a little as I lifted her up and over to the bed, I sat with my knees quite near my chest and lay her on the so it looked like she was standing.

‘Hello gorgeous!’ I smiled.

She made some sounds and smiled a little.

‘You are just the most loved baby in the world … yes you are’ I laughed as she responded.

Justin walked in smiling widely.

‘Hello my gorgeous girls!’ he laughed as he slid across the floor.

‘What’s up with you?’ I laughed.

‘Guess who we can take home whenever we’re ready?’ he laughed as he lifted Alexis up and kissed her nose.

I gasped, ‘we can take her home?’

He nodded, ‘yep … and who dressed my baby girl like a crazy fan?’ he laughed as he spoke in a baby voice smiling at a giggling Lexi.

‘The crew’ I laughed, fixing Lexi’s headband.

‘Hey will you put her in her car seat for me and I’ll get all the bags ready?’ he smiled passing her to me as I nodded.

10 minutes later we shut the door behind us and set off down the corridor. We walked past Caitlin’s room and stopped. Christian was in there. I looked at Justin and back at the room. Lexi had a blanket over her seat to protect her in case there were press outside the hospital. I walked in and Caitlin stopped talking to scowl at me. I just ignored her.

‘Hey uncle!’ I grinned walking over to hug Christian.

‘Hey! I heard about the Molly Mobile’ he laughed.

‘Yupp it’s been quite a day’ I laughed glancing up at the clock it was half past 4 in the afternoon. ‘do you want to see her?’ I smiled at him.

‘I’d love to’ he smiled nodding.

I heard Caitlin clear her throat, ‘come on I’ll show you her outside, Justin will want to see you too’ I grinned walking out the door.

‘Heey Congratulations Dad’ Christian smiled putting his hand out for Justin to shake it.

‘Thanks, congratulations Uncle’ he laughed, ‘Have you seen her?’
