Chapter Seventy

I wiped my eyes and we walked out of the Police Station. One of the officers gave us a lift back to the hospital. Ryan decided to go home for a bit so I walked in alone.

I opened the door to Justin’s room. ‘Oh my god! Fancy bumping into you here!’ I smiled as I sat down next to his bed. Suddenly something in my head clicked. I jumped up and pulled the curtain around. Lexi was no where to be seen.

‘Shit!’ I hissed. I started to panic. Where the fuck was she. I crawled about the room.

‘Lexi!’ I said sweetly. ‘Lexi f there’s any chance that you’ve developed the ability to talk I’d appreciate if you told me where you were?’ I shouted. I couldn’t find her anywhere.

‘Fuck, what if she learned to crawl?’ I hissed to myself. I didn’t even want to be consider that she’d been stolen. I stopped in the middle of the floor, still on my hands and knees.

‘if I were a baby where would I go?’ I said to myself. I decided I’d have to look about for her. But I wasn’t going to tell anyone just yet because they’d all label me as a baby-losing-weirdo. I crawled out of his room and past all the rooms. After crawling roughly half of the hospital I heard what sounded like children laughing. I crawled along to the room and in through the door.

‘Scooter!’ I shouted.

He turned around looking for someone. ‘Down here!’ I hissed.

‘what are you doing on the floor?’ he laughed.

‘looking for the creep who stole Justin’s baby, but looks like I found him!’ I said as I stood up.

‘oh yeah I really should have left a note or something huh?’

‘Umm you think?’ I laughed back. ‘she seems to like you’ I smiled at him.

‘Yeeah well I really like her’ he smiled at her.

‘did you see Justin?’ I asked quietly.

‘it’s kinda hard to miss him, he’s like a giant ornament’ hw laughed softly.

‘You seem to be coping with it better than I did’ I smiled.

‘well he’s alive and that’s the main thing right?’ he smiled.

I nodded.

‘Plus Molly, you saw it happen … that must be tough’

‘yeah … yeah it is … but they caught the guy that done it’ I smiled then shuddered thinking about what happened at the line up.

‘well that’s good’ he smiled as we walked back along to Justin’s room. He put Lexi back in her seat.

‘well I best be off, I have to do a press conference, then a bunch of interviews. I’m gonna put this story straight’ he smiled. I nodded and waved at him as he walked along the corridor. I stood staring Justin with my hands on my hips.

‘this could be the most boring you’ve ever been’ I laughed. I sighed and thought about what we could do. ‘well, I’m gonna find a way to wake you up Bieber.’

I ran along to the little crèche and grabbed all of the toys I could find. I moved the little upside down L shaped table and moved it so the top part was over Justin, you know as if he was about to eat or something. I put a little chess set on it, set it up and sat opposite him.

‘Ladies first’ I smiled and moved my piece then hit the little clock. I waited 15 minutes and the other clock beeped. I stood up, ‘ha! I win! …. Come on you hate losing! … hmm maybe you hate chess too’ I said as I put the set back in the box. Next I brought out Jenga.
