Tallen had taken two more men on their way back to base and the man had a difficult time controlling his flaring temper.
“Shut up!” he barked once again as she screamed her voice raw. “Someone shut her up!” rubbing his temples furiously.
“What you can’t hit a woman?” Tallen snarled back glaring daggers and earning a hit across the head with a man’s gun.
“No, I just prefer not to.” The man replied turning to her. The nerve of this woman! But he stopped himself from smiling at the thought of how great the sound of her screaming was if they were in-
“Sir the Queens on the line,” The man narrowed his eyes as his lieutenant interrupted his train of thought.
“Give me a minute,” he snapped.
“she says it urgent,” the Lieutenant replied unfazed.
Huffing his reply the Man smiled at Tallen, “I’ll be back in a second dear, until please stay quiet.”
“Why? So you can go tell mommy dearest how you finally captured me? To show me off like the trophy you think I am?” Tallen hissed angrily her own temper flaring. “Let me tell you something, Go rot in hell!” she made a point to yell at the top of her lungs.
Hissing at the sting of the gun to her head she narrowed her eyes at the man standing to her side. “What’s your name?” she asked.
“Um, Private Jones ma’am.” he replied unsure.
“And do you have family Jones?” she asked.
“Yes ma’am a beautiful wife and kid.” He replied looking at her curiously.
Yelping in surprise she had kicked him in the shin before kneeing him the groin forcefully.
“I’m sure the world’s going to rejoice in the fact you won’t be respawing anytime soon.” She spat as the other soldiers tried restraining her.
Hours passed and she pretended to fall asleep screaming just often enough to keep all men on edge through the night. Taking the time in between to plan her escape, the pole two which they had tied her was loose at the base. It was bolted to the floor, and only two screws keeping it in place whereas the top was only held in by the weight of the tent on it. Wishing she could use her boot knife to cut her chains she got a strange sensation of deja vu.
Sometime towards midnight the man pulled her in front of a computer monitor, which gave Tallen the scare of a life time.
“No!” she screeched as she spotted the monitor in the room. It felt evil sitting displaying the face of an older woman. She fought against the men behind her as they sat her in the chair in front of it.
“Good morning dear,” the computer said.
The thing talked
The thing was on.
Tallens face betrayed her emotions.
“It’s alright dear, we’ve got limited power just enough to allow us to talk long distance for a bit.” The woman smiled, her face stretching unnaturally across her prominent cheek bones.
It wasn’t real
She was dreaming
She was going crazy
