Dear Mike,

I'm happy to say that I have met some of the best people here in Derry. They call themselves the losers club, at first I thought the name was a bit strange but it totally started growing on me. The first person I met in the group was Bill. I was being threatened by this huge guy named Henry Bowers, but Bill stepped in and was brave enough to stand up to him for me (side note: he also has a stutter but I learned to love it, everyone has their flaws I guess). Then there's Eddie. He's a short one so for once I'm not the only one. You would not believe how many medications this boy has Mike. It's INSANE. He's super nice though overall. Next on the list is Stanley, the most quiet out of the group and sadly I haven't gotten to find out much about him yet. There's also Mike (does the name sound familiar ha ha). He's the wisest person you'll ever meet and has tons of great stories, he's one of those friends you can go to when you need the best advice. Ben, he's the smart one. A complete book warm, sometimes at lunch Eddie and I join him in the library and he reads to us, it's actually quite peaceful. In conclusion these guys are great.....I wish you could meet them too. I'm still missing you....and thinking of you always. I'll see you soon Mikey.

"Mom where are the stamps" Mike shouts to his mom who hasn't left the bathroom for an hour now. Whenever Karen spends this amount of time in the restroom it only means one thing, she was getting ready to go out. He shuffles through the kitchen draw in search for a stamp to put on his letter to Will that took him all of last night to write. I guess you could say he had a lot on his mind this week.

"There should be some in the draw" Karen finally comes down the steps and walks past Mike all dressed up in a short red dress that he only sees her wear on anniversary night, but tonight is not that night.

Mike scrunches his brows together in confusion while scanning his mother from head to toe once he notices her choice of clothing. "Uh mom.....where are you going in that?"

She closes her pocket sized mirror and caps her bright red lip stick. "To tutor Billy" Karen then picks up her purse getting ready to exit the house.

"Mom what? Who dresses like they are going night clubbing to tutor someone" Mike then remembers who Billy is and his eyes nearly bulge out of his head. "Wait wait, Billy as in Max's older step brother Billy"

"Mike calm down, he's really bad at math and I happen to be a genius at it. What's the big deal" she shrugs her shoulders.

Mike rolls his eyes and shuts them with frustration. "You know what.....I don't want to know, this is too weird" Mike goes back to his original question."where are the stamps?"

She sighs heavily. "If they aren't in that draw there's no more. Sorry" she opens the front door continuing her way out the house.

"Ugh just fucking great, no stamps" He slams the draw shut.

Mike knew he was gonna have to leave the house either way since Max invited him to play a few arcade games, so he may as well kill two birds with one stone and pick up stamps on his way there.

He tied his shoe laces into a bow then shoved the letter into his coat pocket.

The snow fall was rapid today so of course Mike bundled up in all his winter gear.

He steps in front of the door and pats down his jacket pocket just to make sure the letter is still where he put it.

Mike unlocks the door now that he knows he has everything he needs. It was freezing the weather must have dropped at least ten degrees from yesterday. He puffs some hot air into his hands even though he was wearing gloves, whatever warmth he could get would do.
