Friendship isn't about who you've known the longest, it's about who walked into your life, said, "I'm here for you" and proved it.

The next morning I wake up at my usual 5 o'clock am and I get dressed in gym shorts and a white muscle t-shirt. It's been a while since I worked out. I pull out my iPod from the drawer and put it into the pockets of my shorts; i plug them inside my ears when I get outside the gate. I start jogging but today I decide not to go to the pier, instead I jog to the waterfall.

I peel off my clothes and dive into the river. I swim for some few minutes and then come out of the water then jog back. I go to my bed room and switch on my phone. I have like 200 messages from Rian. Eeii why? I scroll through to reveal the recent messages.

**Uhmm Heyy**

**I know you didn't mean what you said**

*I'm very sorry if I offended you**

**I just want us to continue being good friends**

What is wrong with her? We were never good friends and is she trying to make me feel guilty but then I refuse to feel guilty.

I press ignore and enter my closet to pick some clean clothes to wear. I really have to get my laundry done, not that it'll affect me, I have tons of clothes, but then school resumes next week and I may need some clothes. Maybe I should just bath first.

I enter the bathroom and take a warm shower. I feel my muscles relax as the warm water hits my chest. I turn off the shower when I hear my phone ringing and tie a towel around my waist before stepping out.

It's my grandfather. Shoot!, I forgot to call him upon arrival because of last night's developings. How did he even get my number? I answer on the next ring.

"Hello" I say softly into the phone.

"Didn't I say for you to call me?"

"You did?" I joke "I'm sorry I forgot, something came up"

"Okay that's fine"

"Wait how did you even get hold of my contact? " i ask confused

"I'm Acel Xandre Reneau son, never forget that" I sure he winked at the end of the sentence. I don't see how they're connected- oh yeah yeah he's one of the leading plutocrats in Paris.

"Yeah right" I sigh, "Anyways how are you doing?"

"I am fine, I kinda miss your presence here" he chuckles, "What about you? How was your flight?" Did he just say kinda?

"I'm also fine, there was nothing special about the trip"

"Ah c'est ça va"

"I just stepped out of the shower and I'm getting cold so later " I finally say.

"Oui c'est ça va, I'm even going golfing, I better go or I might run late" he laughs. He has this warm laughter; I find very comforting.

"Yeah bye" I say and hang up.

I go into the kitchen and grab an apple after getting dressed. I'm almost done eating the Apple when Rashid walks in.

"Hey" he sits on the stool next to me

"Yeah"

"Ready for the haircut? " he asks and I'm confused

"Huhn?" I arch my brows

"Mom has paid so we get haircuts " he slumps in the stool.

"Aargh Tori" I slap my forehead "I don't want to cut my hair yet" somehow I've grown to like it when my hair grows very long. It's demanding, as in I have to spend a lot of time washing it and then drying it later but it's cool.
