Immediately school closes Akilah and I rush to the mall to buy clothes for Madison's party this evening. We have about six hours to get ready since school closes a bit earlier on Fridays.
We spend some few hours wandering around the shopping complex in search of some decent and casual clothes to take to Madison's party. I initially don't plan on spending so much money because majority of my spare cash goes into my college fund but upon second thought one dress wouldn't break the bank or leave me bankrupt so I let it go.
"What about this one?" Akilah holds up a sbort red dress that has a low cut neckline. We're in the third shop and it seems I can't find myself anything that catches my attention. Akilah got her dress from the first shop and now she's only waiting for me to make my mind up.
"No Akilah, you know red isn't really my thing" I tell her frowning
"Oh come on there has to be something here that you like " she plops the dress back down onto the rack in a defeated manner. We continue roaming the boutique and I go through the rack with black clothes but there's still nothing that catches my eye. Surprising how black is my favourite colour.
"Just make up your mind girl" Akilah whines
"Chill yeah, if I am going to spend money on a dress then I want it to be worth it" i tell her continuing looking round the boutique.
I pull something from a pile of clothes nearby. It seems that they are yet to be arranged on the racks. I hold up the recently acquired garment and admire it.
It's a backless olive green body fitting dress. The sides curve inwards and it has a very high neckline. It's sexy and gorgeous, I'm sure it will look good on me.
"I'm trying this on" I announce with excitement and head towards the changing room with Akilah following me.
I quickly pay for my dress and head over to Akilah's to get ready. She insists on we putting on make up and who am I to say no, once the queen herself speaks no one is allowed to object.

Parties aren't really my thing because there are going to be lots of people and I don't like too many people in my personal space.
Normally, Rashid and I would stay in and watch movies if there wasn't any family social gathering.
I take a long shower and get dessed in a black round neck shirt over a pair of olive green jeans and black and white Reebok Aztrek sneakers. I pick up my jacket with USA badges which I got from the last time I went there and put it on. I find a red beanie in my stuff and wear it on my head. The pain from my piercing has subsided so I decide to fit in an earring.

With me done dressing I pick up my phone from my dresser and go to Rash's room to help him out. Funny enough he's already ready in a maroon blazer over a black t-shirt and khaki trousers complimented by black Nike air Huaraches and is seated on his bed texting.
