The bells rings for lunch break and everyone rushes out of the class.
I meet my best friend Akilah by my locker and she looks very exhausted. I grab her hand and begin pulling her to the cafeteria. She had chemistry while I had English so it makes sense why we have to meet.
" I really wish we could take all our classes together like Rashid and Xana" she huffs when I get closer to her.
"They have all their classes together? " i arch a brow
"Yeah like since forever " she rolls her eyes, "did I tell you I met them sometime back"
"No"
"I'm sure I did"
"Really?" I shove someone in the chest and make my way through the crowd.
"Yes, I was really surprised, I think you living with them has brought some kind of luck"
"Huh?"
"Like I'm sure they won't even talk to me, they didn't even know me"
"Oh yeah yeah" I'm so lost in the conversation.
We finally get inside the cafeteria and sit at a secluded side of the cafeteria after we got our lunch. Acutally, our table is closer to the Decagon surprisingly but no one ever notices us since all the attention is on the ten famous people. It's good because i don't want to get noticed.
That table was made specifically for ten people in the shape of a Decagon so that's how our SRC got it's name. Each year ten people in senior year are selected to take over and they sit at that table.
All of a sudden the cafeteria silences as everyone seems to stop their conversations completely. I turn my head to see what's making everyone quiet all of a sudden. Oh it's the Decagon.
The full set. Did I mention they sit according to their names? Well so Ammani, Jean-Michel, Kirsten, Madison, Rashid, Rian , Sasu, Seraya, Xana and Zeke. I think this works for Jean-Michel and Kirsten and Sasu and Seraya since they seem like the only ones on the table caught up in the dating thing.
I think one thing I like about this clique is that they're all friendly and don't discriminate. I mean take a look at the table, it's made up of people from different races.
Xana's POV
Everyone in the clique is now present. Erhmm so according to how we sit there is Ammani Kristoffer-Astrid; she's Norwegian. Her parents own one of the big steel companies in Norway. I don't know why she goes to our school, I didn't even know her until this list was made public last semester, I'm sure it's because she's a physics major.
