"Nice shorts." He comments on my black Nike shorts and tugs on them before entering and heading to the kitchen. Why do we always go to the kitchen when we're alone.

"How I want to push you up that counter and kiss every part of you. Or that sink. You make me want to do so many dirty things to you, Lyd." He says and his voice was not usual.

"Are you drunk?" I bluntly asked. I don't even know why he came here. Not that I didn't want him to, but he's just so full of surprises sometimes.

"No..." he says and I can tell he's lying. I shot daggers at him with my glare, forcing him to say the truth. "Well, kinda."

"Why do I always have to worry about you." I groaned and I don't realize the words as they slip out of my tongue. Please tell me you didn't hear that.

"You do?" His tone's soft and unforced.

"I-" I can't even form a sentence. That's how much of an influence Ace has on me. I grabbed some water and handed it to Ace. He spilled it inside the sink and tossed the glass on the sink. It made a louder sound than I expected it to.

I propped my elbows on the counter and sighed.

"You really did a number on yourself." I point out the obvious. Why would he even drink? Not that he should have a specific reason but I figured he wanted to drown in his sorrows, maybe?

"Mhmm." He replies, looking at me in the dirtiest way possible. His dimples alone could send me off guard in no time.

"Drunk does not look good on you." I say, hoping it'd disappoint him. If I had known it would turn him on even more, I would've stayed silent. He approached me and pressed me up against the counter. His stormy blue eyes met mine and for once, they showed emotion. I assumed it was lust.

"You know what looks good on me though?" He asks and I have no answer for that. Everything looks good on him but I didn't know what he was thinking about.

He leans closer and nuzzles his head into my hair. His hot breath ghosted over my raw flesh and his fingers curled tighter around my waist.

"You." His voice is just above a whisper. My body shivered and his smirk stretched. He was aware of the effect he has on me.

Within seconds, his hands were cupping my breasts and he was locking lips with me. I threaded my fingers in his luscious brown hair and a groan escaped his lips. He trailed his fingers down my stomach and went further down until he reached my core. I grabbed his wrists and pulled away from the kiss. It wasn't as easy as it sounds, it took everything in me to stop.

"Where were you?" I ask.

"We're asking questions now?"

"Answer my question, Wilmington." I demand determinedly.

"Damn, you're sassy as hell but okay...I was out at a bar with friends."

"Oh." I managed to say. I know for a fact that Penelope is one of those 'friends'. He pulled his hands out of my grip and lowered them down to my core. He began teasing and rubbing lightly.

"Ace, my friend is coming over."

"Mhmm." He says and brings his hands to caress my cheeks while he kisses me. I didn't even realize how fast time flew by. It's like I was with Ace today and he showed up again ten minutes later. Even though it's been four hours since I saw him last.

A knock on the door interrupts us from our daze but Ace grumbled curse words under his breath. He didn't care about the person knocking, he kept kissing my lips like we were the only ones in the world.

"She. Is. Here." I managed to say in between the kisses. In a swift motion, I removed Ace's hands from my face and I went to grab the door.

Tori appeared in front of me and she was as delightful and cheery as ever. I pulled her into a tight hug as we rocked back and forth on our heels.

"I missed you." I say and pull away.

"Me too. Did you call Alex?"

Before I get to remind Tori that Alex was out with that waitress, Ace speaks up, announcing his presence and Tori's eyes instantly darted to the kitchen where he stood.

"Who's Alex?"

"Who's this?" Tori questions with a quizzical expression plastered on her face. I gave her an apologetic smile.

"This is uh...Ace." I say and hide my glowing cheeks. I shouldn't have told Tori who Ace was and her shocked expression after I said that is exactly why. She quickly recovered and cleared her throat, heading to my room. I think that was a sign for me to follow her, so I did. I really hope Ace won't follow us upstairs.

"What the hell?" She says in a low yet harsh whisper. Her expressions hardened and her lips pursed into a thin line.

"What? He's here to hang out with me." I lied. I know Tori well enough to know that she knows me well enough to realize that I'm lying.

"I can't believe you, Lyd. We agreed that you'd stop seeing him like this." I can notice the difference in her tone. It's like she's almost disgusted. I wanted to blame her for judging me but she was right. I bit on my tongue to stop myself from saying something stupid.

"Lydia?" Ace's voice appears from behind me. I do not dare face him. Granted, Tori's face expression is precisely what I didn't want it to be.

"See you later, Lydia." She says and heels off. I hopped on the bed as soon as I heard the front door shutting. I facepalmed myself, what the hell was I thinking? I should've been wiser about this. I can't break Ace and I's pact but I can hide our 'relationship' from everyone until I don't need to anymore. I don't know when that time will come or if it will even come at all but I'm praying it does soon.

Ace sits down next to me, clearly still in his drunken state. He scans around the room.

"Your room's nice." He says. I'm sure he doesn't mean that, he's just trying to not make this any weirder than it already was. I smiled weakly in response.

"Who's Alex?" He asks and I cannot help but smile wider. He doesn't know Alex is my best friend, that's why it's perfect to play with his emotions and mess with his mind.

"A guy, a really cute one at that." I smile. I didn't lie. Alex is handsome but he's just my friend. Ace doesn't need to know that.

Ace's jaw clenched. He licked his lips and placed his teeth between his lips. He sat on the bed next to me and started touching me.

"Does he make you feel this way?" He says and starts rubbing. He's in charge now and he knows it. I refused to talk, to tell him who Alex actually was. Let's play a little first.
